Benin Republic head coach Michel Dussuyer has finally named his squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of of Nations qualifying double-header against Nigeria and Sierra Leone, reports Completesports.com.
Top stars; Jodel Dossou, Steve Mounie, Saturnin Allagbe, Cedric Hountondji and Emmanuel Imorou were named in the squad.
Olivier Gerdon and Rudy Gestede were however omitted from the list.
Dussuyer also omitted clubless captain Stephan Sessegnon from the list of invited players for the games.
Sessegnon will however be in the team’s camp as ”non -playing captain to boost the morale of his teammates.
Benin occupy second spot in Group L with seven points from four games and will secure a place in Cameroon 2021 with a win against the Super Eagles.

The Beninois squad is largely 2nd abd 3rd Division France Honestly except the Super Eagles are all down with COVID-19 on Sunday I don’t see how they’ll best us.

Man for man Dey are no match for us but if they play as a unit again us, we would be worst hit than what we xperiencd with Sierra Leone!.. until then let’s keep our heads low and humble cuz no small teams again in football especially in Africa.. our group is still very open
They ve guys that are playing raw football. It not going to be easy . Eagles are playing the jollof rice football. U cant compare raw rice with jollof rice .u can perform the experiment at home. Put jollof rice in a pot and put raw rice in another pot. Switch on the light at the same time in gas cooker. Let see the one that will soft fast. The one in pot one will quickly . While the pot 2.
