Victor Boniface scored and provided an assist as Bayer Leverkusen beat Werder Bremen 5-0 to land their first-ever Bundesliga Title.
Also in action for Leverkusen was Nathan Tella, who came on in the 62nd minute.
Boniface has 11 goals, eight assists in 18 league appearances for Leverkusen.
Both Boniface and Tella now join Sunday Oliseh and Karibe Ojigwe as the Nigerians who have won the Bundesliga title.
Ojigwe was part of the Kaiserslautern team that were crowned league champions in 1998.
On his part, Oliseh helped Borussia Dortmund win the league title in 2002.

The 23-year-old then provided the assist for Leverkusen’s second goal scored by former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka in 60 minutes.
Florian Wirtz then went on to bag a hat-trick to complete the rout.
Wirtz made it 3-0 in the 68th minute, added the fourth goal on 83 minutes and completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute.
Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso’s men still have two more trophies to add to the league title.
They are in the final of the German Cup where they will face Kaiserslautern in May.
Also, they are on the verge of advancing into the semi-finals of the Europa League after edging West Ham 2-0 in the quarter-finals first leg.

StarBoy you are indeed Special
Nigeria to the World… Ride on boy.
Hopefully he remains fit for the game against SA.
Leverkusen for the Treble, They shouldn’t allow the so called big teams to destabilize the team next season as was the case with Napoli.
Coach Finidi George to face selection headache. Nice1 Boni!
Congratulations potential APOTY. Missing you and ndidi was really really really painful at afcon. Stay fit and carry Nigeria to the world cup by God’s grace.
Yes missing Boniface at Afcon was painful. Not Ndidi- who have been woeful in midfield of late. Infact a replacement for Ndidi should be the agenda of the coach.
Congratulations, Bayer Leverkusen, for writing history. Congratulations to our own Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella for being influential parts of this history making team.
Congratulations well deserved title win.

Congrats to Boni and Tella on winning the Bundesliga. What a season!
Crazy day in the English premier league. Guardiola walking around with a PEP in his step, after Liverpool and Arsenal choke in their home games. As the commentator said after Arsenal lost 2 nil at home to Aston Villa, Guardiola needs to send a bottle of Spanish Rioja wine to Unai Emery.
Man City now in the driving seat for the title.
If only Boniface and Ndidi were there in AFCON. South Africa will be meeting different Nigerian team in June, l can tell them that for sure. Our only fear is that Finidi George is not good. He does not know what he is doing.
l beg you Boniface, don’t get yourself injured again ooooooooo.
Yeah Boni…but Ndidi, possibly due to strings of injuries and most likely to sustain more before June, isn’t any coach choice for an all important match when we still have Taminu upbeat. Coach Finidi will be making a huge error inviting such player though not deminishing him potentially.
