They appointed Swansea boss Graham Potter last month and are now looking to make additions to their squad. Sources close to the club indicate that they are interested in the 24-year-old, who has won caps for Belgium at youth level, and have seen one bid rejected.
Genk want £18million for the winger, which would break Brighton’s transfer record which they paid AZ Alkmaar last season for Iranian Alireza Jahanbakhsh. Trossard enjoyed a wonderful season last year, scoring 22 goals and getting 11 assists in 47 outings. Brighton are keen to strengthen their wide areas after Colombian winger Jose Izquierdo underwent surgery on a knee problem and was ruled out for the start of the season.
