Gianluigi Buffon says he has no concerns over whether Paris Saint-Germain will take up the option to keep him for another year.
The 41-year-old signed from Juventus in the summer and the Parisians do have the option to keep him for another season after this one, if they so wish.
However, speaking after the Champions League win over Manchester United last night Buffon says they have yet to do so. Not that he is concerned about it.
“The contract is not a thought in my mind, to be honest,” Buffon said. “I just want to keep enjoying my football, being useful to the club and my team-mates, whether on the field or if needed off it.
“It has never been a problem for me to deal with a contract when I was 30 years old, let alone 41.”
Meanwhile, Buffon was a happy man after watching PSG wrap up, what he thought, was a comfortable victory at Old Trafford. “We made it seem easy by putting everything we had into those 90 minutes, the unity that is fundamental in this competition,” Buffon told Sky Sport Italia.
“We took some risks, but they allowed us to breathe when under pressure and break their attempt at pressing. “In such a balanced tie, that is worth so much.”Fastest Paying Betting Site in Nigeria: Grab your 140% First Time Deposit Bonus Now — www.Sportybet.Com Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
