Bundesliga: Boniface Subbed Off As Bayer Leverkusen Maintain Unbeaten Record

Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface was on for 72nd minute as Bayer Leverkusen defeated Werder Bremen 3-0 to maintain their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

The Nigerian international, who was making his 12 appearance, has netted seven goals and bagged five assists this ongoing season.

Deman netted the opening goal in the ninth minute for Bayer Leverkusen before Frimpong extended their lead to 2-0 in the 42nd minute to silence the home supporters.

The visitor took the game beyond Werder Bremen’s reach as Grimaldo made it 3-0 in the 76th minute.

The win mean Bayer Leverkusen remain top of the Bundesliga on 34 points from 12 games while Bremen sit 12th on 11 points.
