Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede is upbeat his side will get a positive result against Morocco’s AS FAR this weekend.
The Sky Blue Stars recorded a slim 2-1 victory over the Black Army in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round clash in Ikenne on Sunday.
Captain Nduka Junior gave the hosts the lead in the first half.

Joel Beya equalised for AS FAR five minutes after the break, before right-back Sodiq Ismail fired home the winning goal on 63 minutes.
The two teams will clash in the reverse fixture at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat on Sunday.
“We expect a lot of hostility and antics on and off the field. We are used to them and we will be well prepared. We have answers and we ready for that”, Ogunmodede stated in a short video posted on the club’s X account.
“We will have to improve on our attack and finishing because we are not going there to sit back.”

I don’t know why sodiq is not only recently invited to SE and he might not be invited again. My goodness he is technically above the rest of the field, quality crosses like Anold and Brilliant usage of the ball.
Lastly Remo stars should kiss it goodbye because with what I watched yesterday they’d have conceded 2 penalties if the ref was away from home because the Remo players was playing into the antics of Asfar.
