Al Nasri of Libya head coach, Zoran Milinkovic, has admitted that it will difficult for his side to overturn the heavy loss they suffered in the hands of Rivers United, in the first leg playoff of the CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday.
The Port-Harcourt club cruised to a 5-0 win against Al Nasr at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Wednesday.
Ebube Duru opened the scoring in the 12th minute from the penalty spot before Kazie Eyinnaya doubled the lead on 15 minutes.
With one minute left to play in the first half Paul Acquah made it 3-0 while Duru converted from the penalty spot again on 64 minutes to make it 4-0.
Malachi Ohawume then added the fifth goal in the 72nd minute to complete the rout.
And speaking after the game, Milinkovic described his team’s performance as very bad.
“Our performance today was very bad and Rivers United was the better team.
“Overturning this result in the second leg is very difficult but we have to play the game and do much better.“
Milinkovic added:”The referee awarded two penalties but it looks like everything is against us today, nothing worked for us today.”
The return leg comes up Wednesday, 9th November, with the winner over two legs advancing into the group stage.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s other representative in the CAF Confederation Cup, Plateau United, defeated another Libyan side Al-Akhdar 4-1 at the MKO Abiola stadium on Wednesday.
