The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has paid tributes to Nigeria’s Super Falcons legend Osinachi Ohale on her retirement from international football.
Ohale, 34, announced her retirement from internationals football in a post on social media on Friday.
“After 16 years of wearing the Nigeria jersey, representing my country and giving everything I had for this beautiful sport, I have made the very difficult decision to retire from international football,” she wrote.

Reacting to the announcement, CAF wrote:”Five WAFCON titles. One immortal legacy. 🇳🇬.
“Thank you Ohale for every battle, every trophy and every memory. 💚.”
Ohale spent 16 years with the Super Falcons, made 84 appearances and featured at four FIFA women’s World Cups (2011, 2015, 2019, 2023), five WAFCON titles after seven tournament appearances.
