CAFCC: Rivers United Fall To 2-1 Defeat Vs Futuro Kings

Rivers United lost 2-1 to Futuro Kings of Equatorial Guinea in their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg tie at the Estadio de Mongomo on Saturday afternoon, reports Completesports.com.

Nkama Gregoire put the hosts ahead late in the first half, nodding home from close range.

Futuro Kings doubled their advantage in the 68th minute.

Godwin Aguda reduced the deficit when he converted from the spot 13 minutes from time.

Rivers United fought hard to equalise in the closing stages of the game, but were unable to find a way past the home team’s defence.

The reverse fixture will hold next week Sunday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.

      Lol…the people that will beat S/L home and away when even a S/L 2nd division club dumped our representative out of the CAF confed cup 2 seasons ago. LMAO.
      Anyways, River Utd still have all to play for at home. But at this early stage, like the Enyimba, rangers and julius begger of the early 2000s when we had a better league, teams should get beaten home and away. I remember Enyimba beating FC 04 libreville of Gabon 4-0 home and away. I stand to be corrected though.

      Did you watch the match to determine there are no good players in the team, or you basing your sentiments on the score line. what happens when they win the return leg. What has this got to do with dare, didn’t Everton , Nantes, lose today since you want to call out results and your star players featured.
