Pride of Rivers!
Where are those onces who said local players are jokes who don’t come near anything like à true football players worthy of any kind minimal reckoning? Those who alongside that joke of a coach says there are no talents to be tapped in Nigeria.Meanwhile local raw talents have brought us enormous joy in the area of sports at world stage since civilization begun!. Seriously, the odagbamis Christian chukwus, ajunwas, okochas, onyalis, osimen, were talents unearthed by hard-working coaches. Now a so-called underachieving whiteman is rubbishing that great legacy.
You spoke well my brother.
Name one of your so-called local raw talents from your so-called local league who has made it to and remained in the big leagues of Europe in the last 5 years. Sit down there and be living in the days of Christian Chukwu in year 2020. How many European clubs still come to sign players directly from your local league nowadays….Infact how many African clubs still come to sign your local raw talents directly from their local clubs without first putting them through weeks of trials…??
How many of the Nigerian born and bred players making waves currently in Europe are products of your so-called league…??? ZERO. The so-called raw talents your league is producing are in Vietnam, Bahrain and the backwaters of Europe like Latvia and Finland and we should be wasting time and energy on them when we can raise a whole 23 man squad from players playing week-in week-out in serious leagues in Europe waiting for a call up.
Its still the 1st round of CAF club continental competitions and 3 out of 4 representatives have been shown the way home already and you are here bragging. Your local teams with local raw talents cant even compete with local players from mushroom clubs in Africa at preliminary and 1st round stages of club competitions.
Dont go and start praying for the only remaining team to make it to the group stage at least, otherwise come 2021 CAF will slash the quota of continental representatives from your so called league from 4 to 2.
Why not go and tell our National basketball team coach to also throwaway all the NBA stars in the team and start featuring the so-called raw talents from the domestic basketball league too.
Yeye dey smell…..Bunch of unserious people…!
