I am putting my money on Rivers United to eliminate Enyimba. They seem to be the best team in Nigeria now.

Enyimba won’t spear them both in Aba and PH
I go for Enyimba as Nwa-Aba

Lol..Enyimba will definitely win..on a serious note Godwin aguda deserves a look in super eagles, base on current form and his talent..I have followed that guy since his days at rangers where he had his first shot in NPFL..a very intelligent midfilder

Very true @ Sam k. If at all, homebased player must be invited, Godwin Aguda must be the one or one of them. He is a really good attacking midfielder. Have been observing him too. Anyway nzogu nzogu enyimba enyi, nzogu enyimba… Nzogu nzogu enyimba enyi nzogu…. The peoples Elephant will swim and not get drowned in the River, however United the rivers come

Why was the game in porto novo?

    • Papafem 3 years ago

Because the SA team found Nigeria’s COVID19 protocols too stringent to meet

  • But why should CAF pair our only surviving 2 representatives at these stage?

    It’s not fair at all…..

Egypt and some North african countries have atleas 2 or 3 teams representing them, but we have just these 2 and boom caf want to push one out….

Caf should have allowed us to crawl to atleast the group stage.

Rivers United are far better than Eyimba.

This is what you get when the league is running. I pray for more good news from our Local Clubs. Hopefully we’ll be able to select at least 2-3 from them. There is really talent in our league with what I’ve seen

This Godwin Aguda too, very soon he will be heading to Europe. Until we find a way to make our local league competitive financially, the best will continue to leave our shores for greener pastures.
This is the major reason why insisting on inviting only home based players will not work. Invite one home based to the SE, and that home based will become foreign based in the blink of an eye. The same will happen to the next homebased, and so on. A much better policy is to invite ONLY THE BEST, wherever they may be found.
