Cash Strapped NFF Owing Peseiro, Waldrum, Others –Olajire

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has admitted that they are currently cash-strapped and are yet to pay some of the outstanding wages of Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro, Super Falcons coach, Randy Waldrum and other national team coaches.

This was made known by the Director of Communications Ademola Olajire, in an interview with BBC Sport Africa.

He noted that the football house is currently cash-strapped and cannot pay its workers.

“The NFF has been facing huge financial challenges and there is an ongoing effort to resolve all the issues relating to unpaid wages,” Olajire told .

“It is unfortunately not something to be proud of and the new board of the federation is working hard to resolve the problems.”

Aside from the coaches, players of the different national teams are also owed camp allowances and match bonuses.

Completely agreed with you. This is the more reason why I continue to question the removal of petroleum subsidy why we don’t talk about the unmerited salaries of these idiots. Inspite of the dire economic situation the country finds itself, our so-called rulers( ruiners) from rep.to Senators continue to reap the country dried by their exorbitant salaries and unnecessary allowances while the government continue to pay retired generals the same salaries they were earning while in active services. Our overhead cost is the largest in the world.Very unmerited. The so-called leaders ( Rep.& Senators have never ever passed meaningful legislation to move the country forward economically yet Tinubu thought the only way to solve our economic problems was to remove petroleum subsidy at a go rather than gradually. Its a shame. One wonder how God created a country and filled it up with the most cruel and insensitive people on earth to emerged as rulers.

Nigeria is too corrupt to pay anybody. Why employ people knowing you cannot pay them?

Encouraged by FIFA the NFF simply spends money without plan, budgets and audits like a primitive village organization. Because the NFF continues to sully Nigeria’s image with perennial greed, stinking corruption and financial mismanagement the Federal government must intervene, especially since our football is not bringing in the desired results.
