Legendary Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has denied rumours suggesting he is dating Columbian pop star Shakira, shortly after her separation with his long-time Spain team-mate and Barcelona defender Gerard Pique.
Grammy award-winning singer Shakira and Pique announced their break up in June following a 12-year relationship that saw them have two kids Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7, but never marry.
On his part Casillas got divorced from sports journalist Sara Carbonero, with whom he was married for five years and also had two children.
Rumours of a relationship between Casillas and Shakira began when the two started following each other on Instagram.
But the 41-year-old 2010 World Cup winner denied those rumours with a story on Instagram as he shared screenshots of articles suggesting he is now with the Colombian artist.
The Spaniard ended his story with a post that read: “Touch your nose. OMG [Oh My God].”

Pique and Shakira met in 2010 while filming the music video for her World Cup song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).
The 45-year-old singer performed that song in South Africa during the final in which both the legendary centre-back and Casillas played for Spain and beat the Netherlands 1-0.
That was also coincidentally the night that saw the Real great announcing to the world he was dating Carbonero as the former couple enjoyed a romantic moment on live television after the game.
Casillas and Pique were both part of Spain’s recent golden generation that won back-to-back Euro titles in 2008 and 2012 as well as their first World Cup in 2010.
During his time at Madrid Casillas won three UEFA Champions League titles in 2000, 2002 and 2014.
Also, he won LaLiga, Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.
After ending his spell with Madrid Casillas joined FC Porto.Copyright © 2022 Completesports.com All rights reserved. The information contained in Completesports.com may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed without the prior written authority of Completesports.com.
