Former Shooting Stars coach Fatai Amoo says he’s optimistic Rangers International can get a positive result against AS Sobemap in the second leg of their CAF Champions League first-round tie.
Recall that the Nigerian champions Rangers International were held to a 1-1 draw by Benin Republic side AS Sobemap FC in the first leg of their CAF Champions League tie in Abeokuta on Sunday.

The Flying Antelopes made a bright start and took the lead in the 23rd minute through Chidozie Iwundu, putting the Enugu-based side in control of the contest. However, Sobemap responded strongly after the interval and eventually found the equaliser to bring the game level.
Rangers, who are seeking to advance in Africa’s premier club competition, will need a more clinical performance in the second leg.
In a chat with Completesports.com, Amoo hailed Rangers’ performance in the first leg and urged the team to pick a valuable result in the reverse fixture.

“I am impressed with the performance of Rangers International against AS Sobemap despite the fact that the tie ended 1-1.
“What is more important is that the team avoided defeat at home and can still progress to the next round if they remain positive.
“In the second leg, Rangers must maintain some level of concentration and take every goal-scoring chance that comes their way.”
