Chelsea are reportedly looking at Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a cheaper alternative to Napoli’s Victor Osimhen ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.
The Blues are interested in signing Osimhen but are yet to agree a deal with Napoli for his signature.
Ligue 1 giants PSG could make an offer for Osimhen as well, potentially complicating things further for the Premier League giants.
Nicolas Jackson appears to be the team’s first-choice striker right now after starting in their Premier League opener against Manchester City last Sunday.
However, with Joao Felix now at Stamford Bridge and the transfer window still open, that could change.
Osimhen does not seem to be the only forward who is on Chelsea’s list at this moment in time.
According to The Sun, (Via Chelsea Chronicle) with Osimhen demanding astronomical wages, Chelsea are now considering Calvert-Lewin as an alternative to the 25-year-old.
Calvert-Lewin made 32 appearances in the Premier League for Everton during the 2023/24 campaign.
He scored seven goals and provide two assists.
One of those goals came in Everton’s 2-0 win against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
