Chelsea Scout Osimhen During Monza Vs Napoli

Chelsea Scout Osimhen During Monza Vs Napoli

Chelsea had two scouts present in Sunday’s Serie A clash between Monza and champions Napoli with Victor Osimhen in action according to Italian media outfit, Il Mattino.

The Chelsea officials were present at the game to monitor Osimhen who unfortunately failed to score to add to his 23 league goals as Napoli lost 2-0.

Osimhen has been attracting interest from some of Europe’s top clubs following his impressive performance for Napoli this season.

The Super Eagles striker was instrumental in Napoli’s first title win since 1990, scoring the goal that eventually sealed it.

His exploits have seen some of Europe’s top sides showing interest with Chelsea inclusive.

But the Blues will have to contend with the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United.

Despite the interest for the Super Eagles striker, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has said he is looking to keep the Serie A top scorer.

After clinching the league title, Osimhen is set to become the first-ever African to emerge top scorer in Serie A.

He is currently on 23 goals and his three goals ahead of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.
