Chelsea Star Ziyech Left Out Of Morocco Squad For 2021 AFCON

Chelsea Star Ziyech Left Out Of Morocco Squad For 2021 AFCON

Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has not been recalled to Morocco’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Ziyech, 28, missed all six of his country’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers this year, and has not played for the Atlas Lions since a friendly against Burkina Faso in July.

Wolves centre-back Romain Saiss is included by Vahid Halilhodozic, as are Watford duo Adam Masina and Imran Louza, and QPR midfielder Ilias Chair.

Paris St-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi is also in the squad.

Morocco are in Group C alongside Ghana, Comoros and Gabon for the tournament in Cameroon, which begins on 9 January and lasts until 6 February.

Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui is absent and, along with Ziyech, his omission comes after reports the former club-mates have fallen out with Halilhodzic.

Ziyech’s availability in the new year will be a boost for Chelsea, who are chasing the Premier League title and take on Tottenham in a two-legged League Cup semi-final either side of an FA Cup third-round tie against non-league Chesterfield on 8 January.

The reigning Champions League holders are also set to play in the Fifa Club World Cup in February.

Hehehehe….I thought we were the only ones that had the “calibre” of players others didnt have, that should have made winning the trophy in Cameroon a 1:1 odds forgone conclusion….LMAOooo.

Morrocco can even afford to leave out an Ajax and a Chelsea player and still be heyOK….LMAOOooo.

    Morocco squad for Afcon 2021

Goalkeepers: Yassine Bounou (Sevilla, Spain), Monir El Kajoui, (Hatayspor, Turkey), Anas Zniti (Raja Casablanca, Morocco).

Defenders: Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain, France), Sofiane Alakouch (Metz, France), Souffian El Karouani (NEC Nijmegen, Netherlands), Adam Masina (Watford, England), Sofian Chakla (OH Leuven, Belgium), Samy Mmaee (Ferencvaros, Hungary), Romain Saiss (Wolves, England), Nayef Aguerd (Rennes, France).

Midfielders: Aymen Barkok (Eintracht Frankfurt, Germany), Sofyan Amrabat (Fiorentina, Italy), Faycal Fajr (Sivaspor, Turkey), Azzedine Ounahi (Angers, France), Ilias Chair (QPR, England), Imran Louza (Watford, England), Selim Amallah (Standard Liege, Belgium).

Forwards: Munir El Haddadi (Sevilla, Spain), Zakaria Aboukhlal (AZ Alkmaar, Netherlands), Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (Barcelona, Spain), Sofiane Boufal (Angers, France), Ryan Mmaee (Ferencvaros, Hungary), Youssef En-Nesyri (Sevilla, Spain), Ayoub El Kaabi (Hatayspor, Turkey).

Ndi “with the calibre of players we have”, ngwa make una see the calibre of players other countries have o…..LMAOOooo. Not to talk of the fact that they are not embroilled in any confusion on who will coach the team to the tournament with 2 weeks left.

This is a Morocco who are back-to-back CHAN defending champions, with clubs competing for titles on the continent every year for the past 4-5 years, yet they dont have any nonsense quotas for homebased players…..LMAOoooo….As if that isnt enough, 80% of the players in that squad are foreign borns.

Nigerians must be the biggest wishful thinkers in the world…..LMAOOoo.

Let us fail with our “local contents”

    We will learn…!

    • My brother, check out the Senegalese team, Tunisian and Egyptian teams, I begins to imagine what gave Nigerians the audacity to think that Afcon will be a walk over for us. Presently,we didn’t have a single player in the top 8 of the premier league, when countries like Senegal and Egypt are counting like 4,even Guinea has like 2.
I don’t know the abundance of talents that we singing like a chorus. The earlier we admit that 90% of players are all average the better for us. We should stop this unnecessary hype

      • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

Oga can you name the 4 Egyptian and Senegalese players in top 8 teams in EPL?

And Dr Drey, can you mention one sunday sunday football player past his prime in the Moroccan squad??

Ziyech and his partner in crime were left out for disciplinary issues. The guys your god ROHR left out, was it for falling out with him or due to his cluelessness and biased favoritism?

Also, yes; man for ma, clubside for clubside and form for form we have better pool than Morocco.

Imagine CONFUSED ROHR leaving out ADELEYE in favour of John Noble. Lets agree he wanted a local based goalie, what happened to the man benching him in ENYIMBA? How does one rationale leaving out CYRIL DESSERS for Ighalo?

        • Go and the census yourself and find out if they are up to 4 n more or not. Secondly, every manager makes use of personnel that he feels can give him the results he wants, not what one outsider thinks or feels. The same Rohr you are castigating persuades and gave Dessers the chance to don the green and white. So what your fuss? A manager has been employed now, if he like he should ditch the entire team and make use of entirely new sqaud. As long as we are getting the desired results so be it.

I love this walahi. Can you imagine one guy claiming a country with two HUNGARIAN based players having 4 players in top 8 teams in EPL. If we want pure top 10 league players to rep us in Cameroon, we can comfortably present them.

I hereby present atleast 23 man top 10 league players qnd challenge anyone to replicate same with any of ALGERIA, MOROCCO, TUNISIA, GUINEA etc like @Dr Drey and @Ola want us to believe.

23 MAN TOP 10 LEAGUES NIGERIAN PLAYERS

            1. Okoye…Holland
            2. Aina…Italy
            3′ Ebuehi…Italy
            4. Sanusi..Portugal
            5. Akpoguma…Germany
            6. Ekong…England
            7. Ndidi..England
            8. Onyeka…England
            9. Dennis…England
            10. Lukman…England
            11. Iheanacho..England
            12. Awoniyi…Germany
            13. Chukwueze…Spain
            14. Moffi…France
            15. Osimhen…Italy
            16. Kingsley Michael..Italy
            17. Joel Obi..Italy
            18. Dessers…Holland
            19. Calvin Bassey..Scotland

            21. Balogun..Scotland
            22. Idowu…Russia
            23. Ejike..Russia

Imagine ROHR considering Bundelsga 2 Jamilu Collins instead of KHIMKHI of Russia regular BRIAN IDOWU. Also Shehu who warms the bench in Cyprus is given the nod ahead of Semi Ajayi or Kingsley Michael who play in better leagues and are also regulars.

          • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

I just asked you a simple question; mention those 4 players of those countries playing top 8 teams in the EPL or keep your mouth shut for those who know to comment.

Confused Rohr left out Dessers and Adeleye…yen yen yne yen yen

          owngoalnigeria.com/2021/12/01/rohr-list-watford-star-dennis-feyenoord-hitman-dessers-five-new-players-in-provisional-afcon-squad/

Isnt it obvious it was your confused NFF who altered rohr’s 40 MAN LIST and left out 3 names from their own list which they eventually sent out to CAF…???

          owngoalnigeria.com/2021/12/10/rohr-loses-faith-in-osimhen-playing-for-super-eagles-at-afcon-sees-dessers-as-alternative/

Or does it even make sense that Rohr would be salivating over a player who wasnt in his list or whom he didnt have any intentions of including in his list…?

Is common sense this uncommon in the year 2021…??? Oh…Ok, I’ve forgotten, there are a lot of intrinsic identities that can never be masked even from 1000 miles away.

A man stated exclusively in a video interview broadcasted online to the entire world that he submitted a 40 MAN LIST to the FA to forward to CAF. Up till a few days ago, all we heard of in ALL MEDIA as already been submitted to CAF, was 40 MAN LIST, how a 40 man list has 3 players now missing is what even the FBI is still struggling to find out.

Several media outlets corroborated Rohr position by reporting that Rohr submitted 40 MAN LIST which included Cyriel Dessers and Bayo Adeleye. 40 MAN LIST has turned to 37 all of a sudden. Dessers whom Rohr was already priming as replacement for Osimhen has suddenly disappeared from the 40-MAN-now-37 MAN list we are seeing now.

Between the NFF secretariat and CAF headquarters, “our owns” have done their magic as we had feared and predicted. Otherwise what has prevented them from officially releasing this list to the public the moment Rohr submitted it to them. Please of what use is the Media officer the NFF appointed for the SE…???

But the hatred which has beclouded your sense of judgment since last year when you badged in here cant even let you smell this coffee as strong and black as it is.

When you are done ranting, you will crawl back to where you emanate from.

          • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

That your confused and clueless ROHR could even contemplate leaving out an inform DESSERS playing and scoring for FEYERNOORD in a top 8’EUROPEAN LGE in favour of a retired spent force (IGHALO) tells the whole story of how warped and sensless you are, young man!

That ADELEYE a first choice goalie of a FIRST Division curbside in Israel is only considered an AFTERTHOUGHT by your god; ROHR, whilstba South African based AKPERE and Bench warming NOBLE was in the original provisional list means if you have any modicum of shame and objectivity, you should shut your loud mouth for once and hands up.

I dont hate ROHR, what business do I have with him? As an ex footbller and an ardent SUPER Eagles fan (who have the privilege over the years of meeting one on one with several players), all I want is the best for the team and my COUNTRY.

I am not JUST some CSN bully, I am a shareholder in NIGERIA football. I pay to travel and watch SE matches.

I bet you only watch them and read on pages of newspapers or online news feeds. I see them PHYSICALLY and I watch several of THEM LIVE!

Commenting here most time is for the passion and fun of it.

And its because of people like you that I choose to comment here. Otherwise, I will just read and pass!

I confronted you with bare facts, but as is customary with you here; you dance round the facts and resort to childish tantrums of throwing vitriolics about.

Tell me what sane coach in the world will keep an active goalkepper in a top league out of his original list while naming an inactive goalkeeper in an inferior league?

England didnt persuade VERDY out of retirement despite playing for LEUCESTER and scoring regularly but chose to call up BAMFORD and CALVERT-Levin

      • Ralph 2 years ago

Senegal has only Mandy and Sane
        Egypt has Salah and Elneny
        Tunisia has Mejbri
        Morocco has only Ziyech
        Ghana has only Partey
Algeria has only Mahrez and Benrahma
        Cameroon has only Matip
        Guinea has only Keita
Ivory Coast has Bailey , Pepe and Dialo

Ivory Coast has the highest number and it’s only 3, and EPL is not a benchmark for winning or doing well in any tournament

      • Oluwatosun 2 years ago

It is not about players but playing as a team.Nigeria went with local content in 2013 and won it.Big names never won afcon’ask ivory coast with Zambia and Nigeria in 2012 n 2013;they will tell you.that’s why Cameroon and Egypt always do better when it comes to afcon.

Where was Oboabona and Sunday Mba playing when they won the 2013 Nations Cup with Kesha? Omeruo silenced Drogba in the match against CIV.
Mark my words, Morroco may not qualify for the quarter finals in the tournament. Yes, they have players in great leagues. And so what?

  • MuYiwa 2 years ago

Wao. This Moroccan squad na die o.They could even leave out a Champions league winner with Chelsea.

  • JimmyBall 2 years ago

With all your wrote above… I hope you see a country that does not lie to itself. They have a player from Eastern Europe… Hungarian league Team (Ferencvaros) with some from Turkish league, Belgian league and Dutch League… If it’s people like you now @Dr.Drey… We will hear alarm like: “who is Peter Olayinka coming to bench?”… “Who is Anthony Nwakaeme coming to bench?” you have seen it now that Morocco who can afford an all-Europe-based sqaud is still trusting some guys from their league… You were the one who kept chorusing top5 league here until your moongod the quackly fraudulent Rohr kept shunning Dennis, Joel obi, Simmy Nwankwo and even Tyrone Ebuehi… You and your league of rule-contortionists kept mouthing top5 league until your voices dimmed as Rohr brought out a new rule book…

    • @Jimmyball, I pray to God that you get sense this coming year. Imagine senseless comparison

    • Truly @JimmyBall, I though Ola was wrong. But me too I pray you do get s3nse in 2022. Of all the names to mention – Joel Obi???
      At Salerntina???
Why now, why must you be like this to no one but yourself???
Anthony Nwakaeme??? Bros. If na play, stop am please.
      I beg you. Haba!

      • JimmyBall 2 years ago

@Ola and @Ben… atleast I have sense enough to know that Simmy Nwankwo was the best performing Nigeria striker in a top 5 league last season and Joel Obi is still a decent player in a top 5 league… infact I will take Joel anyday ahead of Onyeka even though I know Onyeka is decent… Joel Obi is only 30years and I am sure even though Onyeka is claiming 25years based on his passport, he is not actually less than 30years so the talk of Onyeka being younger than Joel Obi should not even arise…

        • @JimmyBall, please answer this question logically. If Do my Nwankwo was the best Nigerian Striker last season in a Top 5 league, why hasn’t Salerntina coughed up money to make his transfer permanent by now???
After all, since you say he is a performer then by now Salerntina should be dying to keep him if he is performing?
As regards Joel Obi,I used to be a fan of him at Inter Milan, but to be honest Here, I will take an Ndidi over Joel. Joel Obi’s combination back in the day with Onazi and Mikel left a spur taste in my mouth. He was quite slow in recovering balls. But Ndidi in his element combined with Etebo is like 2 scissors waiting to cut you down.

          • JimmyBall 2 years ago

Ndidi though not a finished product yet is a sure bet in any defensive midfield pairing we can muster but do you rate Onyeka above a Joel Obi also? Is Eteno fully back from injury? Now the talk that Mikel, Onazi and Joel did poorly against England in the pre-world cup 2018 friendly was because Mikel does not mark and it was a point of quarrel for him and Onazi often especially after that England game… it is down to the toothless and retrogressive instructions Rohr gave them… now after the England game which other friendly did we do well?

          • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

It must be down to Rohr’s toothless and retrogressive instructions that Joel Obi didnt make the SE sqaud to 2014 World cup too….LMAOoooo.

It must be down to Rohr’s toothless and retrogressive instructions that Joel Obi didn’t make any of Keshi’s, Oliseh’s and Siasia/Amunike’s SE teams and was massively and pathetically underwhelming in the 4 tune-up matches he played under Rohr in the build up to the 2018 WC……LMAOooo.

I guess it must be down to Rohr’s toothless and retrogressive instructions that the likes of Aribo, Iwobi, Ndidi etc have been flourishing in SE shirts all through his time as SE coach….LMAOoooo

If your Joel Obi was so good, why didnt Eguavoen include his name in the additional 5 players he wanted to include in the sqaud…??? LMAOOooo

Backward thinking people….LMAOooooo. Nor be only joel obi. You for just ask us to name the national stadium after Joel obi because Salernitana rescued him from obscurity this season….LMAOOoo

      • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

Semi Ajayi and Kingsley Micheal can play right back right……LMAOOoooo. That is why Rohr should have invited them ahead of Shehu who has been ever dependable at RB under every SE since his CHAN days with Keshi…..LMAOoooo

Senselessness apparently cannot masked like a username. No matter how well you wash and dress up a he-goat, the smell of urine can never depart from it.

        • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

Funny enough you are the one who argues senselessly and cluelessly like your god ROHR. How many right backs do you need when you have AINA, EBUEHI, Awaziem, Akpoguma all who can play right backs. If you are talking versatility SEMI AJAYI can play CB and DM. Brain Idowu who plays in a better league than Shehu can play both left and right back. So why do you need a Shehu when you have a Bologna (Seria A) DM, Innocent Bonke, Alhassan, Onyeka etc all who can play DM and play in better leagues than Shehu?

I bet you, its onlt retrogreeive and clueless semseless individuals like you who will prefer a bench warmer in CYPRUS (top 25 Euro league) to regulars playing in top 10 leagues. Joel Obi (barring injuries) can play DM and left back. Plays in Seria A which is a top 4 EUROPEAN league. As bad as Joel Obi is, he is way better than SHEHU and BONKE!

          Facts and statistics dont lie.

The trophy should just wait there will you just come around to pick it up because no body else has the “calibre” of player you claim to have

Thank God its the same “calibre” of players that must win AFCON on empty stomachs with Rohr that “your own, whom you have primed with your own mouths to fail” will also prosecute the same AFCON with. Let devil punish y’all and we should fail in any of our missions of winning the AFCON and reaching Qatar, yall will know what hell really tastes like.

        • Your misery just started @”Drey =hypocrite”.
          Continue to wail. LMAO!

    • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

Hahahaha….verily verily I say unto you, your biggest prayer going into 2022 should be that you god should give you sense.

Please tell us 1 or 2 other Moroccan central defenders in a top league (apart from the Ajax guy who is being left out for disciplinary reasons or the ones who are injured) that was omitted for the man playing in Hungary. I tell you most solemnly, if there were 1 or 2 more of such, they wouldnt have listed the guy from Hungary. The fact that they rather chose a CB playing in Hungary over those playing in their home league for Raja, Wydad, FAR (clubs which are competing for trophies on the African continent, unlike your own clubs that cannot even make group stages) shows they arent attaching any parochial or nepotistic sentiments to their squad make-ups and are tending towards following an hierarchy of competitiveness of the leagues where available players play in.

That is what is called HEIRARCHY OF CHOICE.

I am not the one who will teach you that. Common sense should have done so if you had some……LMAOOooo…..we are still waiting for you to tell us whom Rohr should have kicked out of the SE for your Nwakaeme and Olayinka…..LMAOOoo. Maybe Rohr should have kicked out Osimhen, chukwueze, etc or the rest who are delivering both in the top leagues and for the national team for your boys….LMAOOooo….or maybe he should have been listing 23 attacking players in his 30 man lists so that Nwakame and Olayinka can play as wing backs as you once listed in your ridiculously laughable fantasy starting XI….LMAOOoo….since “there is nothing like natural position in football”…..LMAOOooo. Professional footballers can play anywhere…..LMAOOooo

I thought “your own whom you have resigned to fail with” wanted to add 5 new players to the squad, why didnt he mention your Nwakaeme, Olayinka, Ajayi, Simy and Joel Obi as the additional players he would add, if they were so spectacular and head and shoulders above those occupying their positions currently in the SE…….LMAOOoooo. Maybe is was Rohr that also instructed him not to consider those ones in his list of prospective additional players….LMAOOooo

Keep your choice of players to yourself till when you become the SE coach. Then you can invite 10 CFs to your own super eagles every matchday and pick Joel Obi , Ogenyi Onazi, Junior Ajayi and others who are being sacked (or on the brink of being sacked) from their clubs, ahead of promising youngsters like Iwobi, Onyeka and Aribo (who according to you are not national team materials)…..LMAOoooo.

No SE coach has any obligation to massage your ego by doing your bidding and your bidding alone……LMAOOoo. The way you have your “preferred players” even though they are all not contributing anything tangible and are being sacked left, right and center by their clubs is the same way the coaches have theirs too.

You are not an authority anywhere to be exalted…LMAOOoo

And what about your “MANY TALENTS” in the NPFL……you have been quiet about them of late…..LMAOOOo. In one minute you are here ranting about how there are many talents in the league who are better than those in Europe, the next moment you are dropping names of your preferred players ALL of whom are Europe based as the ones more deserving of national team invitations ahead of those who are there at the moment….LMAOOoo.

One would even understand if they were 10 times better than those we’ve got now.

  • Michel 2 years ago

This is one thing that failed coach rohr cannot do,he couldn’t drop Musa even when he was clubless, collected bribe to return ighalo

    • @Michel, any evidence of Rhor’s bribe collection you have in your possession, please share for our education.

    • Michel or whatever handle you chose, is it out of jealousy that Ighalo is the reigning African golden boot holder or he is occupying the position of your choice striker? For the fact that the internet has a measure of privacy doesn’t mean you can’t be tracked. What you wrote here against Ighalo Odion is libelous unless you have proofs. Be mindful what you wish for yourself.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

We have passed the era of rohr. Now it is eguavon that is in charge. Let him strike out the name of ighalo and Musa from the list, so that everybody go rest. It’s as simple as that!

  • Guys selection headache holding back our list, the technical crew and the nff are afraid of us on this Platform ,

    • @JimmyBall, sorry Mikel does not Mark players???
He is not an aggressive marker of opposing players, but do you know how many recoveries he has as a player??. His recovery rate in Super Eagles is way better than when he plays at Chelsea???
Joel Obi can not even mark a player as efficiently as Mikel.
I have watched Mike’s performance time and time again. Opposing players rather pass to the side than take him on one on one.

Also that you dont know which other friendly we did well with Mikel and Ndidi baffles me. What about the Argentinian friendly before the World Cup???
      Na wa o

      I love you bro. Classy!

Comapre an indiscipline player being dropped with a disciplined one being dropped. I mean a DESSERS. How can ROHR prefer a second division SODIQ UMAR to Dessers or Saudi based Ighalo ahead of DESSERS?

I think some people are beginning to watch nation cup for the first time otherwise countries like Morocco Tunisia Senegal iVory coast all have players in better league than Nigeria players. When we talk about Nation cup no team in African has the pedigree we have except for Cameron and Egypt even these two countries though have won the cup more than us yet can not boast of reaching semi finals more than Nigeria. Coming home with silver is Nigeria birth right at the nation cup.
See winning cups goes beyond having players in big clubs but the team winning mentality which Nigeria has more than all African countries if you doubt check the records of all countries that have participated in World Cup from Africa and you will know.
I careless about Morocco squad they are always blessed yet nothing to show for it even in the time of Drogba how many cup did they win .
And you small boys on this forum saying someone doesn’t get sense please stop it we are old enough to assure you that Nigeria team will not be disgraced at the tournaments we have seen enough nation cup tournament to assure you that your super eagles might not win the cup but they will do well and in fact will be difficult to break. We your uncles can assure you.

God bless you sir. Access to internwt has made those kids not to know theor mates anymore.

I dont agree always with Drey or AY or Greenturf or Oakfield, but from THEIR dept and insightful analysis you know they are not kids. Jimmyball too is clearly not a kid.

Most of us who comment here have played with the likes of some Ed internationals either at the local league or national team level. Not only did I play the game, but I was privileged to travel and watch some nations Cup and 2 world cups; Germany 2006, South Africa 2010; watched Nigha 2000, Tunisia 2006, Ghana 2008, and every Nations cup up to 2019 with the exception of 2015.

Some restraints is needed when you kids address people like JIMMYBALL, Dr. Drey(even though I seldom agree with him), Deo etc

@Mahmud… You are always logical which shows how much you don’t lie to yourself about football. We love all our players as football is the one umbrella Nigerians like to gather under… We must continue to speak the truth without sentiment… No one likes Ighalo or Musa more than me as a fan… but fanship expires when we have more deserving Nigerians being locked out for some other previleged players who are past their prime…

Thanks brotherman(apologies GLORY) I just read where @Dr. Drey as usual was asking his ROHR-esque rhethorics; who will NWAEKEME bench? Any reasonable and sensibly objective individual knows that form wise, NWAEKEME is in better shape than SAMUEL KALU and MUSA. Also every sensible being knows that OLAYINKA is playing better than IGHALO at the momemt. Now, lets agree that ROHR doesnt trust THEM..what about DESSERS? What is a CYPRIOT based bench warmer doing when we have top league players?

What is JOHN NOBLE doing when we have his clubmate OLORUNLEKE?

What is AKPEYI doing when we have an inform ADELEYE?

Thank God NFF woke up from their inertia and ridded us of ROHR.

          • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

Rohr is gone let’s leave him out of the equation. So if you’re the coach you will chose Nwakaeme over Samuel Kalu in Ligue 1? How many goals and assists has Olayinka had in the Czech league so far this season compared to Ighalo despite playing in a Sunday league?? Guess what! The Saudi Arabia league is on par with the Egyptian league where someone has been clamoring for the inclusion of Ajayi since last year until he got terminated recently. Lmao!!

And your notion about Shehu is not true. Shehu has played about 20 games so far this season and even featured in the Champions league for Omonia earlier this season. He even played 90 minutes as recently as yesterday. When the coach submitted a list with Dessers name on it why continue to crucify him despite the fact that I’m sure you know the issue is with the NFF??

Another laughable joke is that Dessers is better than Sadiq Lmao!! Sadiq has played for Roma as a teenager. Scored over 25 goals for Partizan Belgrade two seasons ago and scored almost 30 goals last season in all competitions for Almeria which is not a small club in Spain. This season he’s got close to 10 or more goals already and that’s the player you’re comparing to Dessers who couldn’t displace Onuachu of all people last season and has most been a sub so far this season despite scoring??

And how did you not know that Kingsley Michael has been injured since October with an ankle ligament damage??? You see we can brandish names all we want it is only players that understands the philosophy of any given coach he will prefer to invite. No doubt we have the collection of talented players, but none is playing for ManCity, Liverpool Or Chelsea at the moment.

The last time I checked, the retired Sunday Sunday double AFCON qualifiers and main tournament golden boot winner footballer was only last year a Manchester United Striker weighing in a goal every 100 minutes on the average for such a great club, and was still courted by top clubs in England and Italy but for his neck breaking $300,000 weekly wage.

Did Man U not see your Nwakaeme and Olayinka when they rather chose the retiree to don their shirt…???

We can make this forum heathier by strictly relating with the title of every write up. We are being read across board and this deviation most off shows we don’t understand the subject. I want to believe many of us are are at least secondary school graduates. A player like Ziyech can’t be entertained by any coach. The first a good coach goes for is discipline. Even coming home, I think it was Desser or Dennis that had indiscipline issues with former coach rohr and that was why he wasn’t invited for many games and might even affect his selection this time around. Indiscipline is very bad in sports as much as in any life endeavor.

@WE WILL NOT FAIL WITH OUR OWN… @Dr.Drey hates me because he knows I know my football and he still aches from having being busted by me several times here on several football topics… from tactical and professional point of view… Since I busted the brother for being a fraud when he claimed a non-existent PhD he purported to have earned in the Netherlands 22years ago… he has become a sworn antogonist to me.

He claimed he modeled and solved a 32 x 32 squre matrix for a rocket propulsion stability problem for his PhD desertation… hahahaha.

I have challenged him to come live on zoom, Facebook, Skype or whatsapp for us to just confirm his age that he may actually be someone around 50+ years since his PhD (though evidently nonexistent ofcourse?) is purported to have been earned 22years ago and he has put forward a lame excuse that he has no social media account of any type whatsoever because he has been a victim of an account hack in the past…

You could instantly tell @Dr.Drey is just a middle age man without any serious bearing in society from his attitude and mannerisms of getting easily into insulting people for fun… once they argue in opinions diffenrent from his own…

Ever since I analyzed and busted his PhD claim he has become nemesis to himself with vile bitterness of bile thinking he is getting under my skin… I have learnt not to feed his thirst for insults but take him on every now and then it’s gets out of bounds like he enjoys hitting families from having a natural short fuse… Lol.

A PhD holder will be well-mannered with utmost decorum but @Dr.Drey is not only ghetto-thuggish but just too loud…

Real blokes don’t take him serious on this forum since he blasted loudly for eon ages here that Ahmed Musa does not been any club or even activity to be getting games for Super Eagles that he has already earned his feathers from past exploits with Eagles… this a was dude who won’t accept Victor Ikpeba never played our friendly matches versus Sweden and Colombia in 1994.

A stickler for top 5 league paying status as first criterion for any Super Eagles player on one hand while chorusing Ahmed Musa can be clubless and still start matches for Nigeria… take the self anointed Zeus of CSN forum serious at your own joke… lol.

Look at this one we are here talking about the way forward for our darling SuperEagles this one is taking about sentiment. If sentiment engulfed our brains like a goalkeeper what is the job of a goalkeeper?? Is it not to protect his or her team from conceding or losing??

I can see that you’re not worth arguing with anyway. In case you care to know I’m a staunch Rohr supporter. If you like call me Rohr ass licker I’m cool with it. At the end of the day the SuperEagles is our major priority irrespective of who is the coach.

Instead of coming here brandishing names as if our players are playing for Madrid and ManCity or ManU and Chelsea or Even PSG and Arsenal why not let the coach do his job?? It is in fact all you so called Rohr haters that are now scared or jittery for our chances while we still believe in our darling SuperEagles to conquer Africa even if you emotionally sentimental Chinenye is the one leading them to Cameroon.

      • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

Hahahahaha….Ayphilly…..all the regressives are jittery to the teeth now…LMAOOo. They are all prepared to “fail with their own”. Rather than own up to the disaster they have created, they still want to blame us the way Buhari’s supporters still blame Goodluck Jonathan even in the year 2022…..LMAOoooooo. I am proud to be a Rohr asslicker because at least under him FAILURE WAS NEVER AN OPTION. All of a sudden now, failure is already being christened and packaged with different names….LMAOooo.

Na sidon look we dey. Shebi na the same “caliber” of players wey fit win AFCON naim “our own” go still carry go. We will see what lies they will tell us when the time comes…LMAOOoooo.

      • Chinenye 2 years ago

@Ayphilidegreat what buffoon you are! I hereby summon the spirit of sense into your brain. You and your clique will be put to shame come Jan.

Mr Shuaib kuku has gone to bed. It’s really not worth it arguing with people whose brains operate like inverted funnel

        • Chinenye 2 years ago

          *What a buffoon you are*

          *like an inverted funnel*

        • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

So it is you whose brain is languishing in the oven that is worth arguing Abi? You’re the one that will be put to shame come January not me because it is the same players that will be putting you to shame. You better go and retrieve your brain from the crockpot you’re living in. Baboon of the highest order.

          • Chinenye 2 years ago

Rohr has left with his ancient if days football tactics, cry more.
Next will be Odion heavy duty Ighalo

          • Ayphillydegreat 2 years ago

When you see Odion on the plane to Cameroon you can go and crash the plane then. Lmao!! Odion will put you to shame come January by Gods grace.

  • M. Abbas 2 years ago

The contest in Group C is largely going to be between Ghana and Morroco. I don’t see Gabon and Comoros in strong contest. That side, Ziyech is one of the best players in the team but the question is, why Ziyech? He was given a leadership role in the Atlas Lions of Morocco which he abused. One would expect a national team player to be a role model but Coach Halilhodzic didn’t see that in him. Often a time Ziyech was late to training and all that. Not only in morroco, Coaches see national team as bigger than any player and only a very few coaches allow any player to hold the nation hostage.
Relatedly, as disciplined as Coach Eguavoen is, he will do the same.

  • Marvelous 2 years ago

We argue to disagree and agree. I believe we all love the SE, because that is the only thing that is keeping this forceful marriage of north south east and west of Nigeria together. Now Nigeria should not underrate any team at AFCON else e go shock una. Why the delay in announcing the list? I believe Equavon and pinnick have tempered with Rohr list in such away that disaster is looming hence they are scared to release the doctored list to Nigerians or they are still trying to cook the list with possible inclusion of Agents choice players and local content slots.

  • Fred Ebohi 2 years ago

@M. Abbas, let’s also remember the fact that Ziyech refuted coach’s stance by saying next time when you speak speak the truth. That guy just came out of a nagging shoulder injury at the time, frustrated.
I’m of the opinion that coach
Vahid Halilhodozic should have over looked his excesses by giving him a place in the Afcon squad.

    • Alphonsus Gbefumu 2 years ago

Hehehe Fred, I think I know where you are coming from. It’s not in doubt that Ziyech is a fine winger and indeed one of the best players in the Morrocan team. It is more than that my brother, a player that missed all six of his country’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers deserves no invite. Don’t you know players need bonding?

The trophy should just wait there will you just come around to pick it up because no body else has the “calibre” of player you claim to have

Thank God its the same “calibre” of players that must win AFCON on empty stomachs with Rohr that “your own, whom you have primed with your own mouths to fail” will also prosecute the same AFCON with. Let devil punish y’all and we should fail in any of our missions of winning the AFCON and reaching Qatar, yall will know what hell really tastes like.

    • Pius Obemhen 2 years ago

Just taking it easy or simply go for a rest, that cures restlessness. Be careful not to get close to any market.
Hakim Ziyech has not been recalled to Morocco’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

    • If I understand you well……. you are praying for SE to fail in the Afcon so that you can unleash hell on Forumites because Rhor is not coach again???…… Your support for SE should not be hinged on Rhor been coach of SE or certain players been there or not……. I was really disappointed that Rhor was sacked because he brought stability to SE but I have since moved on and support my team as I have always done even before Rhor came in through the door.

      • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

If you understood me well, I am not praying for the SE to fail. Rather I am warning you the we are not ready to tolerate the failure yall are already giving many colouration of names now. We shall unleash hell on all of you who have joined hands in plunging us into this state of confusion and directionlessness we are in now.

The wise saying states that “the man who choses to sleep while roasting new yam in his chi’s shrine has just offered much more sacrifice than the chi deserves”.

All of you who chose to cut your noses to spite your faces and are now crying now that your whole faces are bloodied. Those of you who chose to swap certainty for uncertainty, tranquility for confusion, stability for instability, hope for fate, just because of your collective hatred, myopia, lack of understating and knowledge of history….we know yall 1 by 1, because we warned yall, but you demanded for Barabbas and shouted crucify him. I hope you are enjoying the Barabbas-tic atmosphere that pervades the future of our national team now…..LMAOooooo. Y’all should better not eat not drink during this festive season into the new year and start serious fasting and prayer as from this moment, that this flame yall started does not engulf you in the end. Because we WARNED YOU.

I would have thought the happiness which y’all desired would be here now that Rohr your nemesis (who was denying you happiness) is gone…LMAOooo…..on the contrary the fear, palpitation and amprehension in your comments is as thick as a double decked burger……LMAOoooo. Rohr has not even arrived at the airport in Paris, 40 MAN list he submitted to NFF has metamorphosed to 37 MAN list. Please who removed the names of 3 players from the list and who are the players removed. Why has the provisional list been officially held secretive till date when some others have even released their final 28 man list. Why is the sports ministry dictating where the team must camp and not the new coach. Why appoint a 9man crew if you dont have confidence in them only to be running helter skelter looking for a foreigner with zero African experience to lead the team to the AFCON.

Like Ive said before, Thank God its the same “calibre” of players that must win AFCON on empty stomachs with Rohr that “your own, whom you have primed with your own mouths to fail” will also prosecute the same AFCON with. Thank God yall already claimed before that all our wins were simply due to the “individual abilities of the players”….over 70% wins in competitive games….LMAOooo. Thank God its same set of players….LMAOoo. Thank God also that y’all had cliamed all the team needed was 2 weeks tutelage under a “better” coach to win the AFCON….and its the same 2 weeks your 9 wise men will have with the same players.

Its not a threat, its not a prayer, its a warning, Let devil punish y’all and we should fail in any of our missions of winning the AFCON and reaching Qatar, yall will know what hell really tastes like…..LMAOooo. We will see the stories yall will cook up as excuses when that time comes.

        • 100% spot on. Nothing to add again. Thank you for your doggedness. You are one in a million. The voice of justice amidst sentiment and hypocrisy.

Don’t let anybody silent you, posterity will surely judge you for good.

Have decided not to comment here again except to praise and acknowledge those who are steadfast and share same beliefs with myself on this platform because I don’t have the energy to engage people who are deeply rooted in hypocrisy.

I know original SE fans on this platform will not be more than 40%, others are people who are affiliated with the SE on interest basis only ( tribalist, agents, NFF officials, grassroot coaches, scouts ETC) .

Going forward, I wish SE all the best in all competitions but as for me and my household, my calculator is only for my financial aptitude and financial aptitude only.

I am deeply sad that we are still talking about Oga Rohr that wasted our time for nothing.

If anyone of the former Oga Rohr can hire someone like Oga Rohr as his manager under his company then I won’t talk about Oga Rohr no more.

He left a disjointed team that could not put one to two passes together as a team yet, his fans still fighting people here and there. FIFA ranking is not something Oga Rohr followers can celebrate no more?

He left out our best players. He ruined Onyekuru’s career at the national.

He was playing Dessers like a baby parot. The gaffer and his fans lies that Dessers was unable to play regularly that was the real reason Oga Rohr did not invite Dessers into camp but now that Dessers is desperate to represent Nigeria and he is playing regularly and scoring goals for fun, what happened?

I believe that our former world class coach was doing a real business in the Super Eagles. All we are seeing now is not convincing enough to win the Afcon except Eguavoen comes to Super Eagles rescue. John Noble, Ighalo, Akpeyi etc.

He went for Ighalo, Akpeyi and other unconvincing players in the team. I am very excited that he got sacked in the end. What a coach.

If Eguavoen fails to replace those players with our hot talented, elegant and trusted players then, Nigerians won’t forgive you Oga Rohr and his fans period. How can we win the Afcon trophy in Cameroon with Akpeyi, Ighalo, Noble and so on when we have Adeleye, Osagwe, Dessers Nwakali, Nwobodo and many other hot players available for selections?

When I say we have caliber of players, I mean it kę. We had no player in Madrid, Barcelona, Napoli, Chelsea and Manchester united before Nigeria won the Afcon trophy in three occasions.

“Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech has not been recalled to Morocco’s squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon”.

It is only in Nigeria you will see an average coach tutoring our national team and when you ask when you ask NFF why is that happening? They will tell you that the coach is a world class coach. NFF are jokers.

I won’t blame Oga Rohr and his fans that much but I will blame NFF for allowing Pinnick to stay in charge of our football till today. Too bad. God bless Nigeria!!!

@Chinneye. Don’t worry about Rohr worry about what we have on ground. The objective is to win the cup. Rohr has done is bit and I can brag about him as much as possible that’s my own personal vendetta if he pain you that I’m a slave to Rohr do the needful with your utterly worthless piece of shit brain. Maybe you can remind me what position we were on the African continent in 2016. Lmaoooooooooooooo!

  • Jude Coker 2 years ago

@Dr. Drey, it is true body needs rest, so of us go to bed. Though it is clear you were responding to a post but you carefully avoided competing by responding to no one(@@). However, you indirectly accepted being thrown off the challenge because there was no connection between the topic under reference(write-up) and the nonsense you viewed to have deserve applauses from the manner you employed the word ‘fickle’, a word you obviously don’t know the meaning. I can help you, @ M. Abbas supposedly came off as the man to have thrown the master ‘off’ all challenges out -very silly english at that. Go back to your supposedly articulated text book and clap for yourself.

So for the man throwing you off the challenge, since it is now accepted there is a challenge on the forum, I have a competition for him. @M. Abbas, doesn’t seem to realize that Ziyech just came out of a serious shoulder injury. He even told coach Vahid to his face to be truthful in his accusations. I think the Atlas Lions of Morocco Coach should have been patience with him otherwise it is the Morrocans fans that will miss their most prolific winger in Cameroon. It is more like saying Coach Eguavoen dropping Victor Moses from the Super Eagles team, then you could begin to weigh the feelings of our fans.

    • Alphonsus Gbefumu 2 years ago

Jude Coker, some of us do go to bed, I think is you meant. I just got up and planning to take my family out. I may not be here till mid day.

Firstly, my post wasn’t even meant to challenge anyone and not a “master” for that matter. I read through the write-up and decided to make an informed submission. My advice would be never mind the noise maker, the moment a comment is out of scope it certainly ascribed the toga of a noise.

Coming to Ziyech, Coach Vahid and what the Morrocans fans stand to gain or loose. He is a great winger still doing most of the good runs in Chelsea FC but a player who hasn’t bond well with his national team for a long time and adjudged to be indiscipline shouldn’t be invited by a good Coach. In my first comment, I mentioned that Coach Eguavoen of the Super Eagles won’t tolerate acts of indiscipline.

      • Alphonsus Gbefumu 2 years ago

        Omission -what- you meant.

        • M. Abbas 2 years ago

You should have reference me nah. I see you took this from my notepad. All the same, enjoy your day.

  • M. Abbas 2 years ago

Hehehe, you are funny @Jude Coker, so you think I belong to the OP group? you are no competition. Thank your star my friend has text you my response. Hehehe! Player like Ziyech needs to be shown the other end of the stick, he needs to learn to be disciplined.

    • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

I believe Dr. Drey is suffering from psychological vendetta against Jimmyball to think anyone who disagrees with him is JIMMY. Go read through all my threads and show me where I MAHMUD SHUAIB ever mentioned EGUAVOEN or any NIGERIAN coach for that matter as replacement or better option than ROHR. Am sure your most ardent supporters like AYphilly, Ben and UBFE will honestly tell you that my position has always been on ROHR lacking the technical and tactical nous to get the job done before he was relieved.

My other well celebrated position on this forum was the inclusion of IGHALO and NOBLE (I recalled disagreeing with POMPEI and GREENTURF on the issue of IGHALO).

I have never canvassed for any local coach as I have always been indifferent about who coaches the team. My angst was that ROHR had stalled since pre-2018 WC.

People like Deo, Glory, Footballfanatics, Ugo, Abdul Hamdsy, Jimmyball, Oakfield (I have disagreed with him too on Rohr) will tell you I never ever canvassed Amunike or Eguavoen. I have never ever mentioned JUNIOR AJAYI or OLAYINKA (only did him when you responded to Jimmy yrsterday. I said going by current form and league he plays in he is ahead of IGHALO at present).

Your obsession with JIMMYBALL has made you go mad that you want to assume I am him.

I am me and my arguments here are based on players called up and ROHR’s bad coaching.

If in doubt, pull out one single thread where I mentioned EGUAVOEN minis the fact I only said tjere is nothing ROHR has achieved that EGUAVOEN, ONIGBINDE, AMODU, KESHI etc didn’t achieve or even surpassed.

Back to your challenge, I saw you write the names of every single players of those countries playing in top 10 leagues even if they are in the academies or in the U23s. You also captured BELGIUM.

Go through my list you will see that I only named Nigerian players who can play for SE right away and didn’t name any BELGIAN nased player.

Also most of your players are DIVISION 2 players. I only listed FORST DIVISION NIGERIA players.

For clarity we have the following that I didnt list

      1. Agu….Germany
      2. Ujah…Germany
      3. Uduokhai…Germany
      4.’Ehizube..Holland
      5.’Okereke…Italy
      6. Efe AMBROSE…Scotland
      7. Udogie…italy
      8. Maecus…Portugal
      9.’Hausa guy in Portugal
      10. Cant count Belgium…won ya pa n be

So you see…we still lead in terms of biggest players pool in better divisions in EUROPE

Hahahahaha…Keep your cook and bull stories to yourself. We have heard tons and tons of them that keeps changing with every episode from you….LMAOooo.

And who told you the list I provided was exhuastive…??? Who told you those are the only players those countries have….??? LMAOOoo.

        Desperation at its peak….LMAOooo.

You are the only team that has pool of players in Europe….LMAOoooo. Ngwa let your pool of players stroll to the trophy in Cameroon na. Thank God is the same “calibre” of players that should have won AFCON blindfolded and on empty stomachs under Rohr that will still be there under your 9-man consortiom.

Maybe it is Senegal that has 2nd division players or Algeria or Morrocco or Cotediviore….LMAOooo. As if 2nd division players are not currently in you own national team too…..LMAOoooo

I guess Scottish league is also in your top 10 leagues in Europe right…..LMAOOooo. Scottish league in rated higher than Belgium league…LMAOOo. Scottish league is rated higher than spanish segunda division in your dreams….LMAOoooo.

No my dear. Am not referring to you please. I was responding to Dr. Dre ni.

I have no qualms with your write up. Its Dre who always tries hard and fortuitously to tag me as JIMMYBALL.

Why should I be another person in a faceless football discuss loop. Is there any payment or medal for who wins any argument here?

Even if I get all the validations and accolades, will it add to my bank account?

We are all passionate, faceless sports fans doing our things. I repeat, you can go hang your miserable pathetic vindictive self for all I care in the name of fighting JIMMYBALL. I am not him and I dont owe you no more explanation trying to justify what’s not when I dont get paid for it.

I only come here anddiscuss ISSUES with facts. The last I checked, upon all your gragra on this place about ROHR going nowhere and NFF too broke to wriggle out of whatever they got themselves; your god was booted out. Why?

The concencus is that he lacks the capacity to achieve more than he has achieved. QED!

Whether EGUAVOEN and co will do better, the jury (my humble self inclusive) is out for them.

If you are so obsessed with trying to UNMASK me… I can provide you my email address FOC. Send me a message and we can take it from there.

At this juncture, lets wait for 2022 AFCON.

Our desire is our TEAM do better than BRONZE medal.

Our desire is that deserving players who are in top form be given chance to showcase THEIR talents.

Anything short of that, we will be back in the trenches shouting; EGUAVOEN MUST GO!

I dont owe any allegiance to anybody.

          My allegiance is to SE.

Mahmud Shuaib, it doesn’t look like your last post is in response to my comment. It is rather disjointed. Regardless, let’s have it on point at least to make a difference otherwise you are going out of point. O.P is an acronym for out of point.

That said, it was just an angry reaction on social media from Ziyech who felt Coach Vahid didn’t represented him well. Obviously, his absence is sure to have negative impact for the Moroccan team who have not won Afcon cup for sometime. But who entertain indiscipline??

  • Johnson 2 years ago

@M. Abbas, are you not glad we aren’t yet in csn church online? The moment he can’t compete, he looks for something else to get hold of, dodging the subject. • Bello 2 years ago

  • Damian 2 years ago

Like it’s no longer funny. @Bello, he for kuku call you DR. Bello, lolz! I don’t blame una, it’s Ziyech who cause all those nonsensical comments.

  • hmmmmm, the first DR to have ran away from challenges according to him.

  • Raphael 2 years ago

Oh! I was imagining why the comments suddenly took a detour. Even if it is op, he must to labor to advise “Mr” Eguavoen to drop Africa reigning football gold, Ighalo and what’s that his name? Musa, to be replaced by their own. Adviser who loves our own se. Truths, it is Ziyech otherwise we have ran to another thread.

    • Chinenye 2 years ago

@Rapheal what do you mean by “their own “? The Awoniyi and dessers we’re advocating for are not even related to our tribes. I’m Igbo and I’m not sure Emmanuel Dennis is Igbo. Don’t even know where he comes from in Nigeria

You people should be recognising when someone is dishing out mere criticism, hatred or wanting “our own”

Nigeria is for everybody and we all want a fair opportunity for all players

It’s unfair for peole like Ighalo and musa to be in that afcon team at the expense of more infirm players

      Know this and know peace

Good day to you all. I am highly disappointed in some persons on this platform. Can’t we share our different opinions without throwing insults on each other?

Now, it’s getting annoying reading a lot of some of you comments. I personally ask myself if these men are truly men or boys with the different views expressed. For God sake, Super Eagles doesn’t belong to Rohr and neither would he have stayed all through his life. Rohr has come and go, but Eagles belongs to us all irrespective of whoever handles the team.

It will only be wise for us to genuinely support the team irrespective of whoever handles it be it local or foreign.

This is not the time to lament or like we in Warri will say “to get bad belle for the team”. Nigeria belongs to you and I.

Let’s swim and drown with the team.

  • Paulinus 2 years ago

@ Another DR. Bello, abi you see anything on “Oga” Rohr in the title or the body of the write-up? Ziyech when, huuum!

    • Bello 2 years ago

      @Paulinus
So na me come be another Dr. Bello, abi? You for kuku address me as KING BELLO. Anyways, Chelsea Star Ziyech Left Out Of Morocco Squad For 2021 AFCON is the title of this subject and I even took my time but didn’t see anything like “Oga’ Rohr in the body text. What would you call that? ans me.

  • Paulinus 2 years ago

um um um, @DR. Bello, KING non ni. Ok make I ans you, na OP be dat. It is like discussing Ziyech is a huge one, ok, who you think go win that Group C self?

  • Bello 2 years ago
