Manchester United’s legend, Roy Keane believes Thomas Tuchel won’t be sacked by Chelsea before Christmas despite the rough time he is going through at Stamford Bridge.
The German has watched the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave the club to join Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.
It was a difficult second season for Tuchel as he led the Blues to a fourth place finish, 19 points behind champions, Manchester City.
However, in a chat with Sky Bet, Keane said that he is confident the former Borussia Dortmund and PSG boss is still the right man for the job.
“No, I don’t think so. There has obviously been loads of uncertainty over the club the last few months, that has been sorted out now obviously with the new ownership coming in.
“I’m pretty sure again he will be able to bring some players in. He is a top quality manager, he has dealt with a lot of issues over the last few months.
“Ultimately, it was a disappointing end to the season for them. But he is a top quality manager and I think the owners will back him. I’d be amazed if he is not there at Christmas.”
