The Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of Nigeria (ABBFN) is thrilled to spotlight Ikechukwu Chukwuebuka, the outstanding winner of the Men’s Bodybuilding Open Category at the inaugural Mr. Universe Nigeria Championship held on 21
October 2023 at the Muson Centre, Lagos.
At just 23 years old, Chukwuebuka, originally from Awka, Anambra State, has made significant strides in the world of bodybuilding, showcasing dedication
and resilience. As the eldest son, he has gracefully balanced family responsibilities with his passion for the sport.
Chukwuebuka’s commitment to bodybuilding was evident when he represented Nigeria at the Dubai Muscle Show in October of the previous year, securing a position in the top 10.

Standing tall at 6 feet 2 inches, Chukwuebuka weighed in at an impressive 126 kg during the offseason. The discipline required to cut down to 101kg for the Mr. Universe Nigeria Championship showcases his unwavering commitment to excellence.
Having relocated to Abuja to further his dreams, Chukwuebuka’s efforts have culminated in not only winning the title at the Mr. Universe Nigeria Championship but also making history by becoming the first athlete to win an International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) Elite Pro Card on Nigerian soil.
