Chukwueze, Olayinka Nominated For Europa Conference League Goal Of The Week Award

Samuel Chukwueze and Peter Olayinka have been nominated for UEFA Conference League Goal of the Week award, after scoring for Villarreal and Slavia Prague respectively on match day one on Thursday, Completesports.com reports.

Chukwueze and Olayinka were announced as part of the four-man shortlist on uefa.com on Friday.

The two other nominees for the award are Hasan Ali Kaldirim of Istanbul Basaksehir and Wouter Burger of FC Basel.

Chukwueze netted for Villarreal in their 4-3 home win against Lech Poznan in their first group game.

The Super Eagles winger met a cross with a one time left volley to make it 1-1 in the 32nd minute.

On his part Olayinka gave Slavia Prague the lead in the fourth minute after he ran on to a pass, held off his marker before rifling his effort into the roof of the net from a tight angle.

The winner of the Europa Conference League Goal of the Week will be decided via voting by fans.

    This Olayinka of a guy. His club performances continue to impress greatly. What are they doing at his club that makes him do so well? Energetic, scores goals, makes assists, a real nuisance to opponents.
    Uncle Pese (credit Dr Drey) and his crew need to figure out a way to optimize the use of this guy. If they can do that, we might have a gem of a player at our disposal.
