Samuel Chukwueze opened his goals account in Laliga this season as Villarreal came from behind to beat Valencia 2-1 on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.
The last time Chukwueze found the back of the net in the Spanish topflight was in April this year.
Valencia took the lead in the 21st minute through Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani before Chukwueze equalised in one minute of first half added time.
Villarreal broke from their half and Gerard Moreno found Chukwueze, who was left unmarked inside the box, with a long left foot pass.
The Super Eagles forward controlled the pass before slotting part Valencia keeper.

Chukwueze was later replaced by Jose Luis Morales in the 72nd minute.
And with two minutes left Juan Foyth grabbed the winner to earn Villarreal the three points.
The win took Villarreal, now on 24 points, up to 7th position in the league table.

SMH…
That’s WHY PLAYERS like MIKEL, AHMED MUSA, IGHALO and OSIMHEN will forever be RESPECTED…whether CLUB or COUNTRY, they always give 100 PERCENT ENERGY and COMMITMENT…
As me en, blame NFF for liking money too much and not doing d proper things. They bring improper coaches and influence player selection based on vested interest than merits.
Tell Pinnick or Peak Milk to pay them instead of cutting their money
Dem get family too
Worker deserves his pay
No shotchange me,
Peak Milk and his NFF…No Future Ambition cut their money to feed their family and build mansions,
Players No get family? Dem no good enough to own mansions?
Bros with all due respect can you work empty stomach or after working someone who call himself Oga NFF and Cohorts collect your money add to his own
Don’t expect me to give my 100% while I know ahead of me that you are going to shortchanged me
We will not get there untill those in authority stop defrauding the players
Players career are so short, so pay then their due, if you dnt want to pay them then enter the field and play
Who feels good after working you are not paid, even when Paid its not full amount yet you continue to give your all?
Ponder my brother and may your conscience judge you
What about their MIKEL OBI, AHMED MUSA IGHALO and OSIMHEN who always give out their 100 PERCENT ENERGY and COMMITMENT whenever they DORN the GREEN and WHITE JERSEY and with POOR or NO WAGES/SALARY???
What will you say about them/that?
OGA is CLEAR that most of these GUYS like MOST of our EX will SAY LACK COMMITMENT and PASSION for the SE…
SIMPLY put they are not SE MATERIALS.
Among these NEW GENERATION of PLAYERS, only OSIMHEN and maybe 1 or 2 is…
Enu Efu Efu matter na LOOK AND LAUGH.
Only we are not laughing anymore. It’s not funny anymore.
Other FAs have gone ahead and left them behind. They are looking for the best coaches they can get, paying their coaches and players on time and in full. Giving their players all the necessary support.
Peseiro should win Afcon on an empty stomach, without salary payment? Players should enter field and shed blood without bonuses paid? If they get injured now, who will take care of them? Of course, we will ship them back to sender, back to their clubs to carry the wahala. Do NFF even contribute anything towards injured players’ treatment when they get back to their clubs? USE AND DUMP is the modus operandi. How can we expect the best from players in this circumstances?
We don talk taya on this issue. If a player is injured, and NFF officials go with the player back to his club, and make a payment to the club officials to help defray treatment costs, how do you think the club will respond the next time we call up the player for a match? How will the player himself/herself respond? Of course, the club will be more inclined to cooperate with us, and the player will be ready to show more commitment on the pitch, knowing that we will take care of him/her if the situation arises.
Like you said here my brother,
I guess they think we are fools lamenting and hammering on the need to get the best from the players when they to camp for national assignment
They feel pinched when we openly voice out their negligence and I DONT CARE ATTITUDE towards the players
If Westerhof did not decide to take the bull by the horn, reporting to Aikhomu direct to get funds he would not hv won Nations cup ’94 talkless of going far in USA ’94
IF NFF NO FURURE AMBITION have sence let them work their ass out and implement all you voices out here..
Maaaaad! people everywhere!!!
What ever REASON you all are giving doesn’t add up…
those days their TARIBO WEST were EARNING PEANUTS but I remember one of the SE MATCHES where HE PLAYED with BANDAGE on HIS HEAD…
Thats COMMITMENT and PASSION for your COUNTRY for you…
Not like today a day before an IMPORTANT MATCHE somebody like NDIDI will CHICKEN OUT and say he is INJURED
Like you said here my brother,

What is this you are saying?
Why is it only players that should show “commitment and passion”? NFF no fit show “commitment and passion” by paying match bonuses?
Where is the proof that Ndidi chickened out and pretended to be sick? These guys are human beings too. Accusing them without proof is not fair. If the guy is injured, it’s ludicrous to expect him to still play a match. If he was really injured, you would be telling lies against this player. That’s libel, a statement made that tarnishes the reputation of another individual. Not cool.
A player may be passionate and committed about playing for Nigeria, but if match bonus goes unpaid, that implies that the players efforts are not appreciated. NFF should show commitment and passion by paying match bonuses.
We don’t want our players to be bleeding and wearing bandage because they are playing for Nigeria. What we want is for them to come, give their best, get paid their match bonus, and go back to base.
You are just there @POMPEI shouting BONUSES and SALARY..
No be the same BONUSES and SALARY ZIYECH carry give OPHANEGE HOME the other time…
And after all, shebi after that PORTUGAL thrashing, na their CV e go stain and not PINICK or NFF… Infact PINICK go tell media say him give the boys all the support them need but him no know why Portugal thrash them….
So who is loosing?
Oga I disagree with you on this. Ziyech use his bonuses or wages as offer to orphanage because it was paid. Had it been it wasn’t paid he wouldn’t have done what makes him happy and fulfilled.
NFF should always Pay those boys their match bonuses and allowance, let them too use it and do what makes them happy like Ziyech. Are you supporting NFF to be eating the money meant for players.
Is Morocco not an African country like Nigeria. Why can’t our NFF get to too at least half of Morocco NFF or Senegalese NFF. Why are you supporting dubious act? Why is it that other nations don’t tell their national team players to play without bonuses and allowance, it is only in Nigeria you hear such Wicked suggestions. In fact currently it is useless playing for Nigeria. We have one of the worst FA in Africa.
OGA my point is be a PROFESSIONAL at all times…
Get the JOB done on PITCH…
Then OFF PITCH you can PROTEST or better still why not even BOYCOTT the GAME instead of getting BEAT UP by TEAMS every now and then and then coming out to tell us say na because them they owe you BONUSES na him make you no put body for the match…
Monkey Post, you are there shouting that players should be professional. NFF NKO?
Is it only players that should be professional?
Ziyech was able to donate his bonuses because IT WAS PAID TO HIM. If his bonuses were not paid, he will have nothing to donate, except from his own money.
Let NFF pay the bonuses. I’m sure some of our players will also do like Donatus (sorry Ziyech), and donate their bonus to charity.
We expect the players to be professional on the pitch, and we also expect the NFF to be professional in carrying out their duties, which includes prompt and complete payment of coach salaries and players bonuses.
BTW, if our players do not donate their bonuses, IS IT COMPULSORY?
Why don’t you attack NFF for not donating to charity from their own salaries? Na only players you see to attack? You too Monkey Post are free to donate whatever you have. NO BE BY FORCE.
When you resume work this week, let’s hope your employer does not hold on to your salary on pay day. If they do, you can still continue to work, and “put body”, as professional wey you be. Then you can protest or even boycott your job later. Let us see whether you will still have a job to come back to after you’re done.
We can’t expect players to be professional on the pitch, while we give the NFF a free pass to do as they like. E NO GO WORK.
If players decide to donate their match bonus to the less privileged, that’s great. However, they are not OBLIGATED to do that.
Donation to charity is a matter of personal choice. But payment of coaches salaries and players bonuses IS A PROFESSIONAL OBLIGATION.
NFF SHOULD SHOW PROFESSIONALISM, PASSION AND COMMITMENT BY MAKING PROMPT AND COMPLETE PAYMENT OF WHATEVER IS OWED TO COACHES AND PLAYERS.
I remember during the OLYMPICS, MIKEL out of his own POCKET PAID for the whole TEAM TRIP EXPENSES, paid for their MEALS and BOOKED for TRAINING PITCHES and WE went ahead to WIN BRONZE..
Even HE did a similar thing during the 2019 AFCON and WE still went ahead to claim BRONZE…
Now that is PROFESIONALISM, COMMITMENT and PASSION for you…(he was however compensated though, but HE ensure he got the JOB done first which was what he signed for…
And that is having the MENTALITY of what you can do for your COUNTRY and not the other way round…
The point you’re making would have been valid if Mikel did all those things because the FA couldn’t afford them or if Nigeria were a poor country. The argument others are making is that the FA has funds (in most cases, these funds are approved ahead of any tournament), but instead of using these funds to pay for hotels, players and coaches (the main purpose of the money), NFF officials use the money to enrich themselves.
