Chukwueze: Playing For EPL Club Still My Ambition After Failed Arsenal Link

Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze still harbours hopes of playing in the English Premier League after a potential move to Arsenal fall through in 2016, reports Completesports.com.

Chukwueze, 19, was on the verge of securing a dream move to Arsenal under Arsene Wenger three years ago before his Diamond Academy side pulled a plug at the last minute.

The former U-17 World Cup winner later sealed a move to Spanish side Villarreal where he has been one of the standout performers this season after initially spending time with the second team.

Chukwueze has five goals and two assists in 24 La Liga appearances, and is enjoying his current spell after suffering the setback three years ago.

“It was very close for me to sign for Arsenal, almost had the contract in my hands,” the prodigiously talented Chukwueze told TribalFootball.com

“Unfortunately, it did not work out fine with my academy due to the side of agreement and payment. They did not agree with the terms of the contract.

“I was very happy thinking of signing and dreaming of playing for Arsenal, but my academy did not allow it to happen. I kept on pushing and praying to get a club in Europe and it came with Villarreal.”

Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly keeping tabs on his situation in Spain, and both top-flight giants have sent scouts to watch Chukwueze this season.

And the teenage winger has revealed that he still has ambitions to seal a switch to the Premier League in the future.

“Playing in England is still an ambition for me,” he added.

“I need to keep on working hard and to keep improving. I really want to play in England. I think so.”

l, Edoman, is constantly praying for you and to allow your keen ambition to come through in the Almighty Name of Jesus. Samuel, with your style of play, your youth (19) and above all, your inherent ambition to excel in your life, you will get there and the best will come for you. That is the quality that propel people like Messi. Ronaldo and our legend Okocha to become what they are in our time. Son, the best is on their way to you as we speck. Get ready to receive it. Amen ? Amen.

After Kelechi’s issues and Pep treatment of blacks such as great Yaya Toure, Eto and Kelechi of a late who was inform but saw only dying minutes then I will advice you to think twice if you are joining EPL for game of people to watch you back home. You can also get this fame in laliga like Messi and CR7 showed. You are good but be careful if at all I will advice Liverpool that’s if they sell Salah who happens to play same wing as you else you might end up as his understudy and that might not be good on the long run for your confidence.

Just keep it up Chukwueze. Stay where you are and be focused. God bless you. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • OBOY ur plan to move to EPL will never work out “in the mighty name of JESUS” AMEN…oboy i want the best for u….am very widden intellectually to the extent i am able to understand what is in deph of sea…EPL is too inconsistent to develop young players to their potential…i prefare barca to liverpool or any england team…look at iheanaco, gabriel jesus who i thought could be next ronaldinho.rashford, adama traore, etc. compare to mbappe, dembele etc. laliga train neymar messi even ronaldo ronaldinho etc to their potential. but EPL KILLS young lads. only few can mistakely survive a little..u have to be over the age 22yrs before move to EPL OK.
