Fulham will not exercise the option to sign Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent deal from AC Milan, Completesports.com reports.
The Nigeria international moved to the Cottagers on a season-long loan last summer, with the club holding an option to make the deal permanent for €24m.
Chukwueze is set to return to San Siro after Fulham decided against activating the option to sign him permanently, according to Tuttomercato.
It had earlier been reported that the Premier League club were willing to pay the fee required to secure Chukwueze on a permanent transfer.
The tricky winger contributed three goals, and four assists for Fulham during the 2025/26 season.
Difficult AC Milan Stint
The 27-year-old joined AC Milan from Spanish club Villarreal in 2023.
Chukwueze endured a difficult stint with the the former European champions before heading to Fulham on loan.

The former Nigeria junior international scored a paltry four goals in four 51 league appearances for the Rooseneri.
Chukwueze Faces Uncertain Future
Chukwueze now face an uncertain future at the San Siro with a new coach now set to take charge at the club.
He still has two years left on his current contract with the club.
AC Milan endured a demanding campaign, finishing fifth in Serie A and missing out on a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
The disappointing campaign sparked a major shake-up at the club, leading to the exit of the entire front office, including manager Massimiliano Allegri.
The Serie A heavyweights are expected to name a new manager within the next few days.
Reports indicate that former Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has emerged as AC Milan’s top choice for the managerial position.
