Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva believes they are can achieve something ‘special’ this season, but doesn’t expect it to be easy. The Citizens already have one piece of silverware in the bag this term after wrapping up the League Cup courtesy of a penalty shootout victory over Chelsea.
They remain in the hunt for the Premier League title, Champions League and FA Cup after coming from 2-0 down to beat Swansea 3-2 on Saturday. Liverpool currently lead City by two points in the league, although the Reds have played an extra game, while Pep Guardiola’s men are in the last eight of the Champions League.

Silva expects there to be a few more tests along the road this campaign but feels they are capable of achieving something “special”. “I think all the players feel that this season can be special,” Silva said. “Last season was special in the way we won the Premier League.
This season can be special because we’ve already won one competition and we’re still playing for three. “Our opponents have made it very complicated for us to win trophies this season, but I think we’ve been doing quite well and we’ll try to keep the momentum.
“We have to keep our focus, knowing that our opponents are very strong. “In the semi-finals of the FA Cup it’s one game, anything can happen against very strong opponents. “The Champions League is probably the most difficult competition in Europe, very difficult to win as well.
“The Premier League is very tight this season with Liverpool in a great momentum as well. So no competition will be easy.”
