Manchester City are thought to be close to securing the services of Juventus right-back Joao Cancelo. The reigning Premier League champions are thought to be ready to move their Brazil international Danilo on pastures new this summer and have already lined up Cancelo as an ideal replacement.
Juve appear to be open to the idea of cashing in on Cancelo, with 50m euros thought to be enough to lure the 25-year-old Portuguese defender away from the Old Lady. Reports have suggested the Serie A giants have already themselves identified possible replacements, with the likes of Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier and Napoli’s Eden Hazard being linked.
Pep Guardiola has deemed Danilo to be surplus to requirements and Cancelo looks like he could be the latest in a long line of talented wing-backs the former Barcelona boss had brought to the Etihad Stadium.
