Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly weighing up an offer for Cruzeiro defender Murilo. With Vincent Kompany leaving the club after 11 years of service this summer and Nicolas Otamendi also expected to depart, the Citizens are in need of reinforcements in the heart of defence.
The likes of Leicester City’s Harry Maguire and Roma star Kostas Manolas have been linked with a switch to the Etihad Stadium, while it is also claimed Pep Guardiola is eyeing former Brazil Under-20 international Murilo.
At 22, the promising defender has been gathering valuable experience with Cruzeiro and has made 41 appearances for his current employers to date. City, who completed the domestic treble last season, are said to be ready to fork out the £15million price tag that has been slapped on the Brazilian and a deal could go through this summer.
