Burnley have been linked with a move for Middlesbough’s England Under-21 international defender Dael Fry. Clarets boss Sean Dyche is keen to add to his options at centre-half during the summer window and last week was credited with an interest in West Brom defender Craig Dawson.
Burnley have now been linked with a swoop for Fry, who like Dawson can also play at right-back, but they may face competition for the 21-year-old. Fry is under contract at Middlesbrough until 2021 and the Championship club are keen to keep hold, while European champions Liverpool have also been linked with a move for the defender. Fry managed 39 appearances in all competitions for Boro last term and started 33 of their 46 Championship games.
