Collins Cleared To Feature For Paderborn Against Leipzig

Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins have been cleared to feature for his side in today’s Bundesliga matchday 30 match against RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena, according to Bundesliga.com.

The left-back had been ruled out against Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena but the red card he received earlier this season will not count in his accumulation of cards as he had missed a game due to the sending off.

SC Paderborn boss, Steffen Baumgart is still optimistic that his side will escape relegation from the Bundesliga this season, asking his players to remain brave as they face RB Leipzig.

Paderborn boss, Baumgart said at his pre-match presser ahead of this weekend’s visit to Leipzig: “We want to remain brave, it will be an exciting and beautiful task that I am looking forward to.

“This refreshing football has made us very successful in the past two years. There is nothing better than playing in the Bundesliga. We want to maintain our small chance of staying in the league,” Baumgart concluded.

Collins who saw full action for Paderborn Sunday’s 6-1 bashing against Borussia Dortmud has played 25 Bundesliga games this term with a goal, two assists, seven cautions and a red card to his name.

Paderborn are bottom of the Bundesliga table on 19 points from 29 games, almost hopeless to finish in relegation play-off spot.
