Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins is eager to make his first appearance for the side at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt in today’s (Saturday) second round fixture against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Completesports.com reports.
Collins is yet to make an appearance for the Super Eagles in the competition after copping an injury in training ahead of the Super Eagles’ first Group B game against the Swallows of Burundi.
The SC Paderborn of Germany left-back sat out all of Nigeria’s three group games due to the setback.
He however resumed full training with his teammates earlier this week and is in line to face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in today’s (Saturday) Round of 16 clash at the Alexandria Stadium.
“I’m fully fit now. The injury forced me to miss all our three group matches,” Collins told Completesports.com at the Super Eagles’ Henan Palestine Hotel base in Alexandria.
“The Africa Cup of Nations is the biggest football competition in the continent and I can’t wait to play my first game for the Super Eagles here in Egypt.”
The Super Eagles versus Cameroon clash billed for the Alexandria Stadium will kick-off at 5pm Nigerian time.

Oga thank God for recovery!
But no vex your debut is not in this game.
You will wait first.
U hear!abeg no be quarrel.
No be this kind match them take they play or try some one on debut.
Onyekuru dey bench? E still dey funny me.
Every one is shouting rohr rohr rohr and dishing out instruction on the best tactics to apply like that guy cares.
He will still make the same technical plunders.
He is arrogant and never willing to learn if u like shout the megaphone
Am not expecting any thing, the team is good
But the coach is dumb.
He will be looking like mumu, when we need him most to dish instruction.
The best he can do is to act like he is talking or stretches hand like the old Methodist choir master without any particular instruction communicated.
This is the worst coach we have ever had.
Even if the boys win, it will not be on the wit of their coach.
Is jogging the only form of training these Super Eagles players undergo? I ask because in all their training photos which I have seen, it’s all jogging jogging jogging, and nothing more.
