It was an excitement galore at the third edition of Completesports Celebrity Workout (CSCW 3.0) held at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Saturday 10 October, 2026.
As witnessed in the previous two editions, participants turned out in large numbers to enjoy a day of fitness, wellness and fun.
The event began with registration, after which participants received their official Completesports workout shirts.
Under a cool and serene atmosphere, the workout sessions kicked off with an aerobics session powered by Bodyline Fitness and Gym.

Led by Paul Uwagu, the session featured a variety of aerobic movements, including V-steps, step touches, heel dips, knee lifts and hamstring curls, keeping participants active and energised.
Participants also took part in a functional fitness session led by instructor Kingjames Ghamis. The session focused on improving strength, balance, flexibility, coordination and the ability to perform everyday movements with ease.
The programme also featured Tabata and yoga sessions conducted by Ehis Omobuhde and Emmanuel Ughem, adding variety to the day’s fitness activities.
The fitness sessions were punctuated by refreshment breaks, during which participants enjoyed food and drinks before continuing.
Free Health Screenings For Participants
Beyond the workout sessions, participants benefited from free health screenings powered by Healthtracka, while Vision Planet Eye Clinic provided eye health checks.
Hydration was provided by Pocaris Sweat and Aquafina, ensuring participants stayed refreshed throughout the event.

The wellness session was facilitated by Pharmacist Temidayo Olamiju of the Lagos State Primary Healthcare Board, who highlighted the importance of regular exercise and routine medical check-ups in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Olamiju urged Nigerians to pay greater attention to their health, stressing that physical activities and regular health assessments were essential to overall well-being.
“Regular body check-ups and exercise are key to an effective lifestyle. It is important for us to engage in these on a regular basis,” Olamiju said during her presentation.
“In this part of the world, people do not pay enough attention to these things, which is why we need to keep talking about them. Our health is very important, and we must show keen interest in how we manage it.
“This event is an important avenue to sensitise people and create awareness about the importance of taking care of their health. Hopefully, it will have a lasting impact on the people here.”

Ayodele Muniz, who attended the workout for the first time, commended Completesports for the initiative.
“Completesports is a well-known brand, and I must commend them for putting this together. Personally, I rarely go out on Saturdays, but I must confess that I am excited to be here today,” Muniz said.
“It would be nice to see other media organisations and companies organise events like this on a regular basis.”
Another participant Femi Adesanya, who attended the second edition of the Celebrity Workout, said missing this year’s event was never an option.
“I actually came down from Ibadan yesterday to be part of today’s event. I have good memories of the first one I participated in, and being here again is a great privilege,” the participant said.
“I must say it is another massive outing from Completesports. The event is growing bigger, and hopefully, it will be even bigger next time.”
First-time participant Karen Nneka also expressed delight at being part of the workout, describing the event as well organised and enjoyable.
“It’s a wonderful event, well organised, with good instructors. I have attended events like this before, but this one is different,” Nneka said.
“It’s been fun, fun and fun for me and my friends. We just can’t wait to be part of the next edition.”
Nneka’s friend, Ijeoma Nwodu, also praised the organisers for the smooth coordination of the event, from registration to the distribution of workout shirts and the commencement of activities.
“It was perfect from the start, from the check-in with the ushers to collecting our jerseys and the activities that followed,” Nwodu said.
She added that the experience had encouraged her to look forward to future editions of the Completesports Celebrity Workout.
“It’s my first time taking part in the Completesports Celebrity Workout, and I hope to be back for subsequent editions,” she added.
Convener Ojeagbase Expresses Gratitude Over Impressive Turnout
The Convener of the Completesports Celebrity Workout, Dr. Solomon Ojeagbase expressed delight and appreciation over the impressive turnout at the latest edition — the CSCW 3.0 — a very successful event.
“The importance of this initiative cannot be overemphasised, as it is all about keeping fit. It is our own way of contributing to the well-being of the people,” Dr. Ojeagbase told the participants.
He also commended the favourable weather conditions, the serene atmosphere at the venue, and the enthusiastic participation of attendees, noting that the support of the event’s partners contributed significantly to its success.
“The turnout was quite impressive. The weather was good, and the event was held in a serene atmosphere, with people working out and keeping fit. Our partners also contributed to making the event a success,” he added.
Ojeagbase expressed appreciation to the sponsors and partners, including Healthtracka, Vision Planet Eye Clinic, Pocaris Sweat, and Aquafina, for their support. He also expressed hope that the organisations would continue their partnership in subsequent editions of the event.
“We appreciate our partners, Healthtracka, Vision Planet Eye Clinic, Pocaris Sweat, and Aquafina. We look forward to having them partner with us in future editions,” he reiterated.
Celebrity Workout Set to Get Bigger
Reflecting on the growth of the Complete Sports Celebrity Workout, Dr. Ojeagbase noted that the latest edition surpassed the first two editions in scale and participation, expressing optimism about the event’s continued expansion. He assured that even more goodies are in the offing in the CSCW 4.0.
“This edition is bigger than the first two, and we hope to keep getting bigger and better. Muri Okunola Park is a cool and suitable environment for an event like this,” he noted.
According to the convener, feedback from participants has also prompted discussions about expanding the event to two editions annually, with one holding on the Lagos Mainland and the other on the Island.
“I have been getting feedback from people requesting that we host the event twice a year: one on the Mainland and another on the Island. It is something we are considering,” Ojeagbase disclosed.

The event ended on a celebratory note, with some participants going home with prizes in recognition of their participation and enthusiasm. And all participants smiled home with takeaway souvenir packs from Complete Sports.
