Cyriel Dessers featured as a substitute as Cremonese fell to a 2-0 defeat against Fiorentina in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final at the Stadio Zini on Wednesday night.
Dessers replaced Franck Tsadjout after the break and was also unable to repeat his heroics in the previous round against AS Roma.
The forward immediately had a chance to equalise after his introduction, but his shot was saved by Pietro Terracciano.
His compatriot, David Okereke missed the game as a result of injury.
Arthur Cabral gave Fiorentina the lead on 27 minutes with a perfect header from a right-footed cross from Cristiano Biraghi.
Nico Gonzalez converted from the spot 15 minutes from time for Fiorentina’s second goal of the game.
The second leg will be played at the Stadio Franchi in Florence on April 27.Copyright © 2023 Completesports.com All rights reserved. The information contained in Completesports.com may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed without the prior written authority of Completesports.com.
