The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, on Wednesday began the distribution of relief packs to citizens of Oyo State through the local local government areas in Ibadan and parts of Oyo. Over 4,000 relief packs were distributed to residents on a non-partisan basis to give them succour during the battle against COVID-19.
The packs contained semovita, noodles and vitamin C drink packs.
Under the Support Oyo Campaign, an initiative conceived by the Youth and Sports Minister, the relief packs will be on a continuing basis during this period.
Earlier, similar distribution had taken place in Ogbomoso, Ibadan and Awe where sanitizers, semovita and salt were given out.
Agents were seen going from one house to another to distribute the relief packs in different LGAs in the state.
In reactions, some of the beneficiaries appreciated the kind gesture Dare and urged other well-meaning people in society to emulate him.Copyright © 2020 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
