Obafami Martins was in action as Shanghai Shenhua fell to a 3-2 home defeat against Guangzhou R&F in their Chinese Super League clash on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com.
Martins, who started the game on the bench took the place of Zhu Baojie in the 71st minute of the encounter.
The Nigerian forward has featured in four league games for Shanghai Shenhua this season but is yet to open his goal account.
The visitors led 3-0 courtesy of brace from Eran Zahavi and Dia Saba before Shenhua scored twice through Peng Xinli and Gerrad Moreno.
Shenhua remain in fourth position on the table despite the defeat.
Choi Kang- Hee’s side will travel away to Henan Jianye for their next league fixture.
