Marc Cucurella’s agent Aleix Pique has said the Spanish left-back is very comfortable at Chelsea and plans to remain at Stamford Bridge.
Twelve months ago, Chelsea were happy to consider offers for Cucurella, there at one point being an opportunity for him to sign for Manchester United on loan before an appearance in the EFL Cup second round led to the Red Devils withdrawing their interest.
In sharp contrast now, Cucurella has a growing amount of admirers due to the level of his performances since returning from ankle surgery for the Premier League run-in.
Nevertheless, speaking to Cadena Ser, (via Sportsmole) agent the defender’s agent has played down suggestions that he could leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
“There is practically no chance that he will leave Chelsea this season despite his great tournament:
“He is very comfortable and happy at Chelsea, in London and his idea is to continue. Under normal conditions, he will continue.”
With Cucurella having four years remaining on his contract, Chelsea would realistically need to receive an offer in excess of £50m if they were to consider cashing in on the former Barcelona and Getafe man.

Despite the change in head coach, Cucurella is expected to be first choice under Enzo Maresca, with Ben Chilwell more likely to depart the club.
Basel player Renato Veiga – who is of a different profile to the diminutive Cucurella – is likely to provide competition once he completes a transfer to Chelsea on Thursday or Friday.
Levi Colwill is another option for that side of the backline, although Maresca may prefer to use the one-cap England international in the centre.
Meanwhile, Cucurella has been instrumental in Spain’s match to the European Championship final where they will take on England in Berlin on Sunday.
While Cucurella and his Spanish teammates would be targeting a fourth European title, England would be eyeing a first continental triumph.
