Akinkunmi Amoo has departed Danish club Copenhagen for Cypriot outfit Omonia Nicosia on a three-year contract.
Both Copenhagen and Omonia Nicosia made the announcement of the transfer on their websites on Wednesday.
The former Golden Eaglets player is now teammate with Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho at Omonia.
According to Copenhagen:”Nigerian winger Akinkunmi Amoo has joined Cypriot side AC Omonia Nicosia on a permanent basis with immediate effect.
“F.C. Copenhagen would like to wish Akinkunmi Amoo good luck in the future.”
Commenting on Amoo’s signing, Omonia wrote: “We have reached an agreement with FC Copenhagen to sign 21-year-old Nigerian winger, Akinkunmi Amoo.
“The contract is for three years.
“The footballer started his career at Hammarby IF and a year and a half later he transferred to FC Copenhagen.
“We welcome Akinkumni Amoo to the OMONIA family and wish him every success.”

Amoo began his international career with Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets in the 2019 Africa U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
He scored in his debut in a 5–4 group stage win against Tanzania, where they finished fourth in the tournament.
Later the same year, he was part of the Eaglets squad that got knocked out in the round of 16 during the 2019 U-17 World Cup.
