Dennis will hope to help the Eagles return to winning ways following their 2-1 defeat to Mexico in the early hours of Sunday in Dallas.

The Watford forward’s last appearance for the Eagles was in the second leg of the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Ghana in Abuja in March.

Dennis represented Nigeria at under-23 level before being called up to the Super Eagles.

He made his debut on 10 September 2019 in a 2–2 friendly draw to Ukraine, coming on as a 82nd-minute substitute for Samuel Chukwueze.

The Nigeria Football Federation attempted to call Dennis up to the squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations however accused Watford of refusing to release Dennis and ‘baring their fangs’.

In his debut season in the Premier League he scored 10 goals, provided six assists in 35 games.

His impressive stats was not enough as Watford alongside Norwich City and Burnley were relegated to the English Championship.

What else do you guys expect from him? Was he not the same Dennis that played against Ghana and was only holding his short? He might be good for club but certainly not for national football.

Very soon Moses Simon and Chukwueze will be forgotten with the performance of Kayode the home based and the arrival of Dennis. IMHO
