Everton full-back Lucas Digne is confident the side will get back to their best form and says all of the squad are working hard. The Toffees had a mini-break after being knocked out of the FA Cup by Millwall and not playing last weekend, while they are also gameless this weekend because of the Carabao Cup final.
It might be seen as timely due to the poor form that Marco Silva’s men are in, having lost eight of their previous 11 games.
They face relegation-threatened Cardiff City at Goodison Park next Tuesday and anything less than three points will further ramp up the pressure on Silva, who was only appointed last summer.

However, Digne, one of Silva’s signings, says the squad are continuing to work hard to rectify their problems. “We need to be more consistent and we are working to do that because we have a lot of quality in the team,” said Digne. “The confidence is here, we know we have quality. “We have a lot of fans and we can understand they are not happy with the performances sometimes. “But when you work hard, you can change things very fast. For the moment, we are focussed only on Cardiff. And after we have one week to prepare for the (Merseyside) derby.”
