Done Deal: Alhassan Yusuf Joins Belgian Club  Royal Antwerp On Four-Year Contract

Belgian Pro League club Royal Antwerp have announced the signing of Nigeria midfielder Alhassan Yusuf on a four-year contract, reports Completesports.com.

Yusuf linked up with Antwerp from Swedish club IFK Goteborg.

“There is an oral agreement between IFK Göteborg and Royal Antwerp FC regarding central midfielder Alhassan Yusuf. The 20-year-old Nigerian will complete his medical tests on Monday and will then sign a contract for 4 seasons,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.

“Welcome to the Tawny Owl, Alhassan!”

Meanwhile, IFK Goteborg sports director Pontus Farnerud has thanked the 20-year-old for his contributions during his time at the club.

“Hasse (Yusuf) has had a clear development with us and has grown both as a player and as a person, and is now ready to take the next step,” Farnerud said on the club’s official website.

“This shows once again that we attract eyes from the continent.

“We are satisfied with the negotiations and happy for Hasse’s sake that he takes the step further.

“We thank him for this time and wish him the best of luck.”

    I don’t know why Nigeria players step up is always slow irrespective of their high praises in their former clubs while seeing kamaldeen sulemana making it to Rennes in the French lique1 from lowly nordsjaeland in Denmark…

    You would have expected this Alhassan of a guy to have made such top5 league move but no!
