Super Falcons defender Oluwatosin Demehin has completed a move to Portuguese champions Benfica, Completesports.com reports.
The 24-year-old centre-back signed a three-year contract with the six-time Portuguese champions following her departure from Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Demehin expressed delight at joining Benfica, stating that the move will give her the opportunity to continue her development at the highest level.
“Benfica is the best club in Portugal and one of the best clubs in the world. Therefore, I know that being here, I can improve my performance,” Demehin told BTV.
The Nigeria international also revealed that she sought advice from her Super Falcons teammate Christy Ucheibe, who previously played for Benfica, before making the move.

“Before coming here, I spoke with her during the national team training camp. She told me many nice things about the club,” she added.
Asked to describe her qualities on the pitch, Demehin highlighted three key attributes.
“I would describe myself as hardworking, disciplined and determined,” the defender said.
Demehin began her senior career with Sunshine Queens before moving to Rivers Angels.
Her impressive performances for the Port Harcourt-based club paved the way for a move to Europe in 2022, when she joined French outfit Stade de Reims.
She later moved to Galatasaray in 2024 before ending her spell in Turkey to begin a new chapter with Benfica.
