“Brentford have completed the signing of Nigeria international midfield player Frank Onyeka, subject to international clearance. A work permit for the 23-year-old was received at the weekend and he has completed a medical,”reads a statement on the club’s official website.
“Frank will join from FC Midtjylland, where Brentford FC Owner Matthew Benham has the majority shareholding, for an undisclosed fee and has signed a five-year contract. He arrived in the UK yesterday, Monday 19 July, and will now undergo a period of quarantine before joining with the squad for training.”
Rasmus Ankersen, Brentford FC Co-Director of Football expect big things from the player.
“Frank Onyeka is a player we, for obvious reasons, know very well. Over the last two years he has grown to become the dominant midfielder in the Danish league and his performances in the Champions League last season convinced us that he is ready for the Premier League. With his pace, power and ability to win the ball I am sure Frank will be a great addition to the Brentford squad.”

Congratulations to SE,FRANK ONYEKA,NIGERIANS And Thank God
Super Eagles now have Ndidi,Iwobi,Etebo,Ariball & Onyeka in the premier league and Scottish premier league… Elite league midfielders…ROHR NDEWONUNU
It’s now Mr Frank will prove to us he deserves to mix it in Super Eagles… Congrats Frankie!
Congrats, Finally Onyeka has landed. The battle for Super Eagles Midfield has just began in the Premier league. So with Ndidi, Iwobi, Onyeka, Etebo and Olise all ready to dazzle this new season. fans can truly see the best that will definitely improve the Super Eagles. Not forgetting Aribo of Scotland. I think we will soon get the Mid-field we all hope to see.
We can now assess you properly as we see you play weekly in the epl. Lets see your strengths and see how you can fit in to the super eagles team. Congratulations
Congratulations Frank Onyeka!
More like we have at least maintained the level of Super Eagles players involvement in the EPL. While Ndidi, Iheanacho and Iwobi maintained their place in the EPL, Onyeka has now taken up the place we lost with Semi Ajayi’s relegation and the SE Watford crew have effectively replaced the SE Fulham crew of last year. Hopefully, this season’s SE EPL representatives will have better luck, better performances and placement in the league. And hopefully SE representation in the EPL and the other top leagues will continue to increase before closure of the transfer window.
Another “non-national team material” hitting the top. Go go frank…!
Frank will excel in the EPL…But will he help Bredford stay up is another issue to be settled this coming season….Frank has a unique ability to break attacks and neutralize offenses for his team…..he can also be useful in front of Goal because he has a good shooting ability….But Bredford still need 2 or 3 more world class signing to stay up next season.

Remove okonkwo from the list, because he is from arsenal academy doesn’t make him a better choice that the others in his position who has done enough to earn call-ups.
Jimmy u dey read my mind maybe the Russian guy replaces him
We may even go with only sanusi as the 2 RBs and M. Simon can play LB LWB also
Nice list. But I don’t fancy awaziem as a centre back. I think we need a left footed centre back to complement the team. Awaziem/ebuehi can play RB, while aina/zaidu play LB. Calvin bassey can be a good option as a left footed centre back or we can search for other players who can fill that position.
In midfield, I see ndidi and onyeka as the same kind of players. We still need a box to box midfielder and a creative midfielder. The players we have now are ok but we still need more options.
For wingers, kalu yes, when he is in form he is the best we have. But I still feel Ejuke has a place in the team but the coach doesn’t seem impressed by him. Its usually chukwueze, kalu, moses simon and musa (whom I feel should consider retiring from international football).
In the strikers position, there is only osimhen for now, he is the player that gets the goals for the team. Others are just there. We need someone who can share the goal scoring burden with him and give him a strong challenge or support. The coach should not relent on trying new players and give them enough opportunities to gel with the team. Here is hoping players like sadiq umar, Taiwo awoniyi and dessers can give us something to cheer at in the super eagles attack.
Nigerian players are doing well in the transfer market this period. I just hope those players who we have been expecting to move will eventually do so and to bigger clubs.
Great analysis bro…I think awaziem is also left footed akpoguma as well….
Fo okonkwo the 3rd GK spot is actually for grooming the most talented upcoming keeper my thoughts…. I didn’t wanna count the birds in the bush… Only the readily available ones… Eligibility wise
