Almeria and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement over Umar Sadiq and the forward will have his medical on Wednesday (today).
The 25-year-old is on the verge of completing a permanent transfer to Real Sociedad according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
The deal according to Romano is worth €25m, add-ons included plus 15% sell-on clause.
Sadiq is a direct replacement for Aleksandr Isak, who recently linked up with Premier League club Newcastle United.
The striker was reportedly expected to join another LaLiga club Villarreal but the Yellow Submarine failed to meet up with Almeria’s valuation.
Sadiq was Almeria’s leading scorer in the last two seasons and his goals last term saw them regain their place in the Spanish top league.

Apart from OSIMEHN (NAPOLI) and maybe BASSEY (AJAX), why are all NIGERIAN PLAYERS signing for below AVERAGE CLUBS?
Why are they scared to COMPETE? Not BRAVE and can’t take a BOLD step?(like in the issue of ONYEDIKA)
Well well he wil play Europa ..that is the positive.
Nobody saw or talked about this here. Y ..
He will score against man u in Europa .
Sadiq wil play omonia etc. In Europa
Why didn’t he kuku ma bold and go to the Man U?
Why is Sadiq not going to Real Madrid or Barcelona? At worst he should manage Manchester City or Bayern Munich. Mediocrity is the middle name of Nigeria’s players.
I do Not understand this move, Why Move sideways instead of move upwards. What is the difference between Real Sociedad or Almeira. This boy should have waited at least and do well in Almeira now he will chop bench in Sociedad and not have game time to show case his skills. Nigerian players and sound reasoning today is no where to be seen. they are all chasing money too quick because of lack of belief in their own qualities. be like say na only mouth this country get! Mtcheew!
Exactly my thoughts Sadiq is not a finished player if you watch him closely and I wonder if this new club will tolerate some of his loose play. Wish him the best and may the lord grant him the Grace of God that his free gift to mankind.

So many funny comment
Really very funny comments. Congratulations to you Sadiq Umar. May you score lots and lots of goals in your new club.
He is a starter in Almeira, What is his guarantee that e will lead the line for Sociedad. Plu he knows his team mates well and they know him well the cohesion the chemistry is already there. There is now guarantee he will fit the style of play in Sociedad. This move makes no sense he is already in the La Liga so the exposure is there already. WHY MOVE SIDEWAYS IN LA LIGA instead of one of the Top 4 clubs there. MOVE MAKES NO SENSE!.. Who knows 2 goals in 2 games for Almeira they have won 1 (Sevilla Big team in spain) and drawn 1 not a bad return, if he had carried on banging the goals at Almeira who knows maybe Atletico Madrid, would have come knocking in January. funny move. Nigeria in a nutshell Funny country LOOLLZZZZ!!
Kai PALM OIL dey your HEAD @UGO IWUNZE!!
I shouldn’t have been fighting with you on this FORUM if I knew you speak with so much WISDOM…
@MONKEY POST no be small tin o I never though we could see eye to eye Lolz… noting do you bro. Nigerian players na wa o… and in a World cup year where our country did not qualify meaning countries that qualified thier attackers profile will rise especially if they have good tournaments meaining Nigeria who did not qualify the spot light will not be on them. as per normal the demand from big clubs for attackers who played world Cup will over shadow any other player that is not tied to a big club. This Guy may have just sealed his fate as a average team player with this move. his road to a big club may have just been made harder with this silly move. Again Nawa ooo!!
The same sadiq wil score against man u in Europa in September
Monkey Post UGO’S comment is different from your loose talk of every Nigerian player to go and play for Madrid and Barca, even players that can not complete one pass or shoot on target should sign themselves for Madrid. You and that Ebubedike need rehabilitation apart from you regular banana.
LOL…
So your WORLD BEST MIDFIELDER NDIDI can’t complete one or two pass to be considered by MADRID or MAN U for SIGNING…
LOl…
I am not a fan of Ndidi neither am I against him. But in the SE of today only one or two can be qualified to make it to Madrid or Barca. Our players can not pass the ball well or shoot on target. This is exactly why we can’t use our skills properly.
I wonder too, when the coaches of this teams don’t want there services, they should just go in front of there door and demand to be included in the team. Na wa for una
World Cup attackers will be the talk of football after world cup. that is how it always is, Big Clubs put priority on players that participate and have good tournaments at the Mundial this is just FACTS No CAP!!
But @UGO IWUNZE FACTS still remains that it is your own that made us not to QUALIFY…
To think that Chelsea just coughed out £75M for a 21 years old FOFANA where in a country where our ASST CAPTAIN is deemed not good enough for a Championship team. What’s going on with NAIJA??
Our World best NDIDI has no suitors but another 21 years old DM with BRIGHTON….(I hope am right. Can’t recall his name again) is attracting interest from top 4 clubs!
@Chima E. Samuel, “Our players can not pass the ball well or shoot on target. This is exactly why we can’t use our skills properly.” Am I sure I’m seeing correctly? Are these not the same players we wanted Rohr to win the Afcon with in 2019? When Rohr said that our players were average, didnt you call him all sorts of names? Now that “our own” have brought us to where we are right now, many people are now back to reality. The reset mode of many has been activated. Many funny comments indeed. Good luck Umar Sodiq.
