Dosu: Iwuala Good Enough To Face Benin, Lesotho

Former Nigeria international Joseph Dosu says Enyimba’s Anayo Iwuala Should be given the chance to feature against Benin Republic and Lesotho.

Dosu made this known after watching Iwuala in action for Enyimba, in Monday’s NPFL game against Sunshine Stars, at the Agege Stadium.

He is one of three home-based players invited to the Eagles camp following the withdrawals of Moses Simon, Kenneth Omeruo and Samuel Kalu.

And reacting to his performance, Dosu endorsed Iwuala’s invitation, positing it is deserved.

“I watch Anayo Iwuala of Enyimba play  against Sunshine Stars on Monday at Agege Stadium for the first time, he deserve the Super Eagles call up.

“Hope he will be given the opportunity to play in Benin or in Lagos, very good attacking midfielder.”

Iwuala has joined his teammates in camp in preparation for the qualifiers which comes up on Saturday and Tuesday.

It’s strange,Benin republic has great numbers of players from the French league who are available for there country but ours aren’t.
Again it’s strange the decision of Olayinka’s effort not getting rewarded after two players from the French league in his playing position pulled out of the qualifiers.
I do not get the Olayinka’s no show,it’s very strange!a player that has had a boss season, having great games against the likes of Rangers and Leicester city and coming out on tops, his team is miles ahead the log in the Czech league and has played a leading role in all the conquest by his team yet does not deserve a call up even from the stand by position he was unfairly placed after players pulled out,I am bewildered puzzled by this strange decision!

    • It makes no sense that Peter Olayinka was not invited to Super Eagles for this Benin and Lesotho games despite his amazing performances in Europa league with Sparta Prague (Sparta Praha). Really mind puzzling to say the least.

As for why our French player(s) didn’t weren’t released, it just gets to show how important they are in there club compared to our Opponent in there Clubs. Those French-Based Beninoise players play in 2nd,3rd, 4th division and they were still released by their clubs just gets to show how less-important they are in there clubs because the French rule of isolating 2 weeks after they return still stands. That is, the Club felt they won’t be affected by their absence for that 2 weeks. So I think that’s why they were released. Compared to Moses Simon, a Key player for Nantes battling relegation at the moment. They just can’t afford to have him out for 2 weeks hence the reason why they held him back.

As for Olayinka, I wrote it here few days ago also that the guy was just clearly cheated. Maybe Rohr is not a fan of him. Because I remember the match he was supposed to be given as Chance to prove himself against Brazil, Onuachu was clearly playing Rubbish after coming on for Oshimen yet the Coach decided to give OLAYINKA like just 3 mins time. He could even hardly touch the ball before the final whistle same rubbish Rohr did with Maja. I pray that man gets sense this year 2021.. lol.

Guys please do get some facts right before making insinuations about a coach not liking a player. Olayinka would’ve been invited straight after Onyekuru and Onoachu but Iwuala got the call instead. This is because Sadiq pull out due to Covid-19 issue of 10-day Quarantine which the team, backed by FIFA rule decided to use in refusing to release him. So the question is….will you call another Uerope based player when you are not sure his own club too will release him few days to the match? that’s why Iwuala got the call ahead of Olayinka. Onoachu and Oyekuru were called in before the confusion of non release of players.
However on why The Beninios has the full complements of their France-based players, it’s because the French Government has now decided to soften down on the Covid quarantine policy for players returning from International duty by removing the quarantine issue and replacing it with regular Covid testing (alternate day testing following arrival for 1 week) and they are allowed to train or play for their team as long as results are negative. This was after a protest on Twitter on why should the French National players should be allowed to go play in Kazakhstan which is outside Europe without same policy applying to them.

Pls educate them….LMAO. Educate people who know more than the coach in charge.

        You’re just a big fool

        • Why do you think he is a big fool? Mr Unicorn…Do you know more than the Coach?

Kindly note that you are mad.

You need to see the Doctor.

Olayinka was invited, but he also pulled out due to his fixed wedding during the international break. Olayinka never expected his invitation, perhaps thats why he fixed his wedding during this period
