Super Eagles’ Group B opponent at the forthcoming AFCON 2019, Madagascar, are set to present the 23-man Barea squad to the public today, Completesports.com reports
Madagascar lost 1-0 to the Harambee Stars of Kenya at the weekend having played out a 3-3 draw against Luxembourg in their first pre-tournament friendly the previous weekend.
The coach Nicolas Dupuis-led Barea failed to convert a penalty awarded them in the first half before succumbing to Kenya’s penalty goal at the Robert-Bobin Stadium located in the south of Paris, France.
The Barea who had camped at the Espace Leonardo da Vinci hotel in Liesses, France are now back in Madagascar. They arrived the Ivato International Airport early on Sunday morning.
Coach Dupuis is expected to present his squad to the publc at the Mahamasina Stadium today in an interractive session to send forth the history making team to Egypt.
Madagascar are debuting at the Africa Cup of Nations and are scheduled to play against Nigeria in the last Group B game on June 30th.
The team is scheduled to jet out tomorrow ahead of their friendly game against Mauritania in Franconville on Saturday.
