  • This guy will be the best Nigerian striker in france this season…I see him as a threat to osimhen in the nearest future

Nigerian boys running riot in france and belgium, the competition is already very hot. Weldone guys, keep flying our flag high.

  • Good one boys, bad day at office today for Dessers.

Sure @ Ola. But I think it’s early days. League only just started. And again, that Genk team are not together in their play. Seems everyone wants to do their own thing. Midfielders running into attackers, defenders doing same. Too much running with the ball, when one quick pass will do the work.

I have spotted this Maja being a predator in front of the goalpost right from his prime time at Sunderland. Maja is the closest to Osimehn in terms of goal conversion rate and not even Dessers. I hope he will play much more integral part of Bordeaux matches this decision under the new coach…all the best of luck this season.

  • Josh Maja’s profile has been on the rise following his exciting string of performances for the French outfit last season and he looks to surpass in radiance his previous season’s performance with his recent goal scoring account. The young man hopefully should get a look in from Rohr if he continues in this stead as the Super Eagles look for a strong backup to Osimhen.

i think dessers is second to osihmen or rather sadiq. maja is very talented player but he is not a natural 9. he is almost like iheanacho in terms of skills and passes, their type always want the ball in their foot. he is also very clinical in goal scoring from inside and outside the box. that guy will play better as no 8 or 10 if giving the chance. as a natural 9 u needs to have pace and also runing before the ball, u must be good in the air aswell. in that character we have osihmen, dessers, nwakwo, and sadiq, half 9 we have iheanacho, maja, okereke, dennis.

… With the talent we have everywhere on our fowardline we should stop playing arrowhead… a lone striker upfront who will be expected good in holdup play. That requirement and direction will waste the offensive options we have… Let’s master and play 3-5-2 and stop the usual 4-2-3-1 though with little flexibility and a very fluid team the two system is almost equal… But I will want a situation where we blast with two strikers from the go…

Abeg I once read one article on CSN like that where you@collin id was bragging about being a Very good baller in your prime and bla bla…Now I see you’re just the Exact total opposite.

Haba! Some people on this CSN sef. If Dem give them Eagles job laidis, say bye bye to Nigeria football. How una dey take watch una own ball abeg?? Back of TV abi only half field..lol.
How can somebody come out to say JOSH MAJA is not A Natural No.9 like say we don’t know this guy at Sunderland and watch him on ESPN week in week out. Please if you want to make assumptions, do it in your mind and don’t come here to split untrue stories. Josh MAJA has never played any other role apart from No.9 role oo for those who choose to hear. He is a Center Forward and a good one at that. Before Somebody will be talking in the rubbish that he can play 8 and 10. Oga leave that role to those who are meant for it please. Thanks

@chairmanfemi. stop making fool of ur self. Its very clear that u are a novice in the game, thats why u dont understand characters of players. You only understand the sound of goal, which is a very familiar sound of the game even to drunkers, i think you are a beerpalor chairman. First i didnt say he have played 10 before though he has played 8 manytimes, supporting defoe who plays 9 at sunderland then. I have seen his games both in sunderland and bordeur and understands that his natural charachter is 8 or 10, its my own technical point of view towards the young man, which i am entitled to, he may be good in 9 aswell and the coaches prefer to playhim there which is their right too. We have seen rooney played 10. We have seen rooney and tevex played one supporting the other, even alen smith was once deployed as a defensive midfielder, Even odewmingie played 9 8 7 11 and 10 in both club and country will you call odewmingie a natural 9? We hv also seen ike uche and his brother uche kalu. Rotating betwin 9, 8, wings and kalu also played 10 in absent of obi mikel, while he was playing 9 in almeria dat same year. will u call both players a natural 9? Sylvester igboun played as a 9 for his club and we saw him plays from the midfield in holiseh eagles, will u call him natural 9? If i have played football or not is it your football? Why cant u go straight to ur point without fooling your age. Bearpalor chairmanfemi. Jealousy tablets is now available in shopright go get one for your self.

… We need to start playing two top strikers to work for each other. Period!

  • Goal ⚽️ 4 years ago

Two strikers upfront limits team possession chances.

Take 442 for example, you are playing with only two midfielders, two wingers, the creativity wouldn’t be much, the system suit counter attacking football more than possession based football.

When you use 352 formation, it’s  a defensive system.
No big team uses that formation, you only use it when playing against big opposition to limit your team from conceding much.
Super Eagles are no minor , we fear no foe!

Our best formations still remain 4231, 4312 or 4141.

    • JimmyBall 4 years ago

… We can alternate depending on when we on an attacking or defensive foray between 4231 and 352. This things are flexible in my opinion but overall a team has to be fit to really match up to any opposition these days. God bless Super Eagles and all soccer fans of Nigeria…

      • Goal ⚽️ 4 years ago

Give example of what you mean, like selecting your first eleven.

For me if I have to choose formation I will go for 4141, my reasons are 1. It will bring out the best from ndidi, he can concentrate in his defensive duty .

        2. It will give room for Aribo and iwobi or ejaria to room freely creating chances and also scoring goals.
Our creativity will improve as well as scoring chances.

        3. The formation is balanced, 5 defense 5 attackers.

With this formation we will see the real Super Eagles we all wanted.
