Nigeria’s U17s, the Golden Eaglets’ first choice goalkeeper, Joseph Oluwabusola, has exclusively told Completesports.com from the team’s camp in Brazil that they are poised to get their Brazil 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup campaign on high with victory in their opening Group B match on Saturday against European side, Hungary.

Oluwabusola, who plays for the youth side of Premier League side , Bournemouth, has been part of coach Manu Garba’s squad since the African championship in Niamey, Niger Republic.

With the Eaglets set to begin their quest to win Nigeria’s sixth U-17 World Cup title underway at Estadio Olimpico in Goiana, the Nigeria shot stopper reckons the team is ready physically and tactically to rub shoulders with their European counterparts as well as other teams in Group B and the rest in the competition.

“As in other games we have played, I think we should be confident going into the game against Hungary on Saturday,” a confident Oluwabusola told Completesports.com.

“This is our opening game and it is very important for us to win.

“With confidence, belief in ourselves, we can show that we have the ability and tactical awareness as the teams in Europe and South America.

“We are very confident going into the match. We have been training well as a team since arrived in camp a few weeks ago here in Brazil.

“The players are in good shape. We are in top spirit and so we are ready, physically and also we are ready to start this World Cup on high with a win,” Oluwabusola said.

The Saturday’s match against Hungary kicks off at 5pm local time, which is 9pm in Nigeria.
