Ebuehi Eyes 1st Trophy As Benfica Face Sporting Lisbon In Portuguese Super Cup Clash

Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi will look to win his first trophy with Benfica who will take on Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese Super Cup clash today (Sunday) at the Estadio Do Algarve, Sao Joao da Venda, reports Completesports.com.

Ebuehi missed the whole of last season after copping a cruciate ligament injury in training following his move to Benfica from Dutch club ADO Den Haag.

He has since recovered from the setback and featured in two pre-season games for Benfica.

The injury also forced him to miss out on a place in Nigeria’s squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

A good run of games with the club could see Ebuehi make a comeback to the team.

Benfica won the Portuguese league title last season, while Sporting Lisbon were crowned the FA Cup Champions.
