ECL: Chukwueze Subbed Off As Villarreal Edge Hapoel Beer Sheva

Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze was in action as Villarreal edged Hapoel Beer Sheva 2-1 in Thursday’s Europa Conference League.

The Nigerian international, who had a decent display was substituted for Jackson in the 46th minute of the second half.

The visitor netted the opening in the 28th minute through Jose Luis Morales before the host leveled parity in the 63rd minute through Rotem Hatuel.

However, Villarreal made it 2-1 in the 67th minute through Alex Baena to silence the vociferous home supporters.

Villarreal could have made the game safe but Arnaut Danjuma’s penalty was saved in the 96th minute.
