Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi will be seeking to maintain his goal scoring form as Nice welcome Basel in today’s Europa Conference League second leg tie.
Recall that in the first leg, Moffi scored a sensational bicycle kick as Nice claimed a 2-2 draw at Basel last week Thursday.
The Nigeria international had already levelled from close range before he leapt acrobatically into the air in first-half stoppage time to hammer an overhead volley into the Basel net.
The goal was also voted the competition’s goal of the week, to become the third Nigerian to win the award this season after Yusuf Otubanjo’s strike for Pyunik in their 2-0 win over Slovan Bratislava and Samuel Chukwueze’s volley against Lech Poznan in the group stage of the competitions.
However, with an eye in the semi final of the competition, Moffi will be hoping to shoulder the goal scoring responsibility for Nice against Basel.
