Edo Governor Obaseki  Watches  Super Eagles Training

Edo State Governor Anthony Obaseki watched the Super Eagles training session at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City on Wednesday night, reports Completesports.com.

Obaseki was accompanied by his deputy, Philip Shaibu and some top government officials.

The state number one citizen had a brief chat with Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr before the start of the training session.

On Tuesday, Shaibu trained with the Super Eagles as they begin preparations for Friday’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Sierra Leone.

Obaseki is expected to storm the ground again on Friday when the Super Eagles take on the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone.

  • My boys are on Instagram live on their respective handles having a good time. Taking turns singing Nigerian songs. Sanusi singing Kerewa…lol

Really glad the way this governor loves sports

  • Our players should be encouraged to learn the national anthem. It doesn’t look good seeing just one or two players singing along while the national anthem is being played during pre-match formalities. To me, learning the national anthem is more than learning Kerewa or any other Nigerian song. They can learn that later.

      …na who anthem EPP….?

        Hehehehe! Good question!
Govt officials who know every word of the anthem, and can sing melodiously with voices that would make Whitney Houston jealous, but are robbing the country blind behind the curtains, na who dem epp?
Anthem singing as lip service helps no one. Someone who doesn’t know a word of the anthem, but who readily fulfils their civic duty is far more valuable to Nigeria.

Replace govt officials with bad Nigerians in general. It is not only corrupt govt officials that are messing up this country.
