EFL Championship Round 41 Preview: Norwich Can Move Closer To Title With Win Over Reading

Meanwhile, Sheffield United make tough trip to Birmingham, while Leeds are at Preston

There is midweek action in the EFL Championship this coming week, with current league leaders Norwich looking to move closer to the domestic crown when they host Reading on Wednesday evening (10 April). On the same evening, Sheffield United face a tricky game away at Birmingham, while on Tuesday night Leeds will be looking to get back on track when they travel to take on Preston.

First things first

Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the EFL Championship campaign now in the final stretch, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, let’s start with the clash between Norwich and Reading on Wednesday night. The Canaries sit top of the table and have won their last eight league games in a row – with a seven-point lead over second place, they are priced at just 1.10 to win the league title this season.

Reading, in stark contrast, are not yet free from the threat of relegation and sit just a point above the drop zone. The side is priced at 3.25 to suffer relegation to the third tier of English club football.

And unsurprisingly, it is therefore Norwich who come into this match as the clear favourites to take all three points. You can back the table toppers to win at just 1.36, while Reading are out at 9.00 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 5.50, according to Oddsshark.

This should be a comfortable evening’s work for the home side. A 3-1 win for Norwich is priced competitively at 11.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment, while you can almost triple your money by backing a combo bet of a Norwich win, coupled with both teams to score, at 2.75.

Birmingham host Sheffield United after point deduction

On the same evening, Birmingham welcome high-flying Sheffield United with the Blues looking to bounce back from a points deduction for financial mismanagement. Birmingham beat Leeds this past weekend and will be looking to carry that momentum into this match with another of the strongest teams in the division.

Sheffield United, by way of comparison, have won four of their last five league matches and still have their sights set on the league title. The Blades however are now out at 10.00 to finish top of the pile come the end of the season.

And while the betting is close, it is Sheffield United who come in as the favourites to collect three valuable points. You can more than double your money by backing the visitors to win at 2.15 while Birmingham, despite home advantage, are out at 3.60 to do the same – a draw comes in just under at 3.50.

And we are expecting home advantage to play a decisive factor in this fixture. A narrow, 1-0 win for Birmingham is priced at 9.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$45 pay out, while a combo bet of a Birmingham win, coupled with a “No” to both teams scoring, is at 5.50.

Leeds need win at Preston

And finally, Preston host Leeds on Tuesday night with the away side in desperate need of a victory. Preston sit in 10th place in the table but have lost their last two league matches.

Leeds are not faring much better at the moment, having lost two of the last three. Currently sitting third in the table, the side is priced at just 1.66 to earn promotion back to the FA Premier League.

Once again the betting is close but it is Leeds who come into this clash as the favourites to pick up a much needed win. You can more than double your money by backing the visitors to collect all three points at 2.10, while Preston are out at 3.75 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 3.50.

And we believe that this contest could well end all square. A 1-1 draw is priced at 6.50, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$32.50 pay out, while you can more than quadruple your money by backing a scoring draw at 4.50.
